They actually mentioned certain aspects being kind of easier because they use to use the CELL's 6 available SPUs to split up tasks and they were able to convert some of that to the PS4's 6 available cores of CPU for multitasking some of the same things. Though, overall, yeah, it must of been a nightmare to get everything even decently optimized, not just ported.
This game definitely has it's own unique atmosphere. You can tell they really have a full scope of the world they are trying to deliver.
I hope this game is actually good and controls as nice as the praises make it sound.
interesting
The title reminds me of a compulsive liar I once knew. Every time you knew he was lying about a story when he mentioned that it was about his uncle.
@iiwii, Yeah, I just went ahead and bought the Season Pass. Im addicted to Survival. I recently ranked 106 with 177 million points. Luckily, save video feature worked this time.I cant stop playing. I need to give Demolition mode more attention.
haha
I think we need to ask all the questions. The games should have more features, new tech and more living environment interaction, but I still wanna hear 1080p/60fps.
It all matters. If it's a game I already want, but they aren't sure they can hit 1080p/60fps, then later they reach the target before release - that's something I'll be happy about.
I get the point though, there's tons of half-assed indie devs with some random little games that...
I have it on PS3 from a few months back, but only played past like the first big boss character. I'm waiting, hoping they give us the $10 upgrade option.
Awesome that SOE seems to be optimizing for PS4 smoothly. 1080p x 60fps, couldn't ask for more. I hope this game can pull me away from crappy COD, I don't like the way Ghosts performs on my PS4, for how non-next-gen it is. I also hope they really embrace the modding for PS4. I know not that long ago they added that ability for modders to sell items and share profit with them for PC. I'd like to see all the free and $ items come to PS4 also.
There's many times it doesn't record any new video, and shows the last thing you recorded when you hit 'share'. When that happens, the option to save the video by hitting the 'square' button doesn't appear at all. I think crappy games can cause it to mess up more, cuz it happens to me nonstop in COD: Ghosts. The game also is the worst at multitasking, when you are in COD on PS4 and you hit 'home', then scroll through your apps, it hickups to all hell.
Nvidia can talk all that, they're still holding everyone back. They make something awesome like Physx, but then it's hardly ever in any games cuz they refuse to allow it to be hardware accelerated unless it's on an Nvidia card. So, in turn most devs don't bother to use Physx because they know half the audience can't use it at it's fullest. I hate stuff like that, Nvidia should just shut up and make their quality, but overpriced GPUs.
Don't be so so...
LOL, I see they went with Tencent, and flopped. Tencent was in an article not long ago about Crapcom joining with them. Since they work on free-to-plays, I assume Deep Down has something to do with them. Well, this doesn't add any positive reinforcement to the idea that Crapcom could handle a free-2-play properly.
Lmao. A game going from native 1080p on PS4 to 720p-900p upscaled to 1080p, while not maintaining a higher framerate than the native 1080p version - is a little more than 10-15% difference. Proof is in the pudding, no matter what anyone says, and it's constantly being shown that it was basically on the money as somewhere between 30%-50% difference.
When devs often says there's almost no difference in the 2 consoles - they are almost always referring to the interior ar...
I thought they already said the hardware was finalized now, I'd be happy to know it isn't though, and that it's still adjusting and upgrading - like Oculus is. You don't wanna rush something like this, they wanna just get it perfect since they have to basically build it once and run with that hardware for the lifespan of the console.
I might buy the dlc just because they gave the editor for free, that and the fact the modes sound cool.
If they let me upgrade the PS3 version for $10 like other games - I'm in.
You're a dumbass. If it's heavily based on GPU, that means it still is better on PS4, with 40-50% stronger of a GPU to boot. I love you idiots.
Dude is no joke. The models were top notch, and those trailers were amazing, and pretty long for being so detailed and full of action and hi-def char models and environments.
Imagine a Shenmue world as large as Skyrim or Witcher 3. I think I remember an article recently about Sega losing the license for not using the trademark in forever or something. So, now is a better time than ever for Yu to do it.
