PC version yes, but Super charged High end ultra GPU powered Hyper PC version with cyber mods and mega graphics will explode it off the planet.
I was thinking the same thing. It looks like the Injustice PS4 upgrade. I was hoping for more.
The surprise is that it'll be the best console version of the game with the best visuals and performance.
I gotta agree with that. After seeing what they could achieve visually with their engine on last gen, I was definitely expecting it to be crazy on PS4. Especially considering it's a fighting game, with the console only rendering a boxed off area and there's just 2 main chars on screen with no heavy environment AI to worry about and a nice background.
It seems they focused on the characters and evolving the story by taking alot of old chars out and replacing them with ...
This was divulged ages ago. MM was too busy on their new IP, but still said they gave alot of guidance. I do feel like it should have more going on in LBP3, not that it looks bad. It just seems if MM was the ones working on it, it would have evolved a little more.
Well, if Naughty Dog's game engine creator is saying it was in-game, I guess I gotta go with it.
I love how the hair is actually looking like real hair finally, instead of polygon clumps looking like hair-jelled spikes stacked together. The water was crazy, and foilage was insanely perfect looking with no messy jaggy edges. For this being Naughty Dog's real first PS4 game, it's gonna be hard to imagine what the 2nd or 3rd game will look like with all the new knowledge they learn and optimizations and enhancements they'll do to their engine by then.
Imagine how huge your worlds could be in LBP3 on PS4 with all that ram. I mean, you can always do the connected worlds thing to make it seem it's one world, but still, you'd have so much more to work with. The meter telling you how much more stuff you can add to the world before you max out would be so much larger, all that damn ram.
Ah Snap! It's on now!
So, is PS4 still set to be the lead platform for this game?
@GameDev1, yeah, they said they'll expand it naturally adding more to the outer edges of the world little by little. They said the engine can handle an insane map size, the only reason they haven't started it even larger is cuz they want it all to fit perfectly. So far it looks good, graphically it's definitely not next gen. It does look pretty good for a huge openworld game though.
It's still 18 CUs. 14 are directly usable by devs for the visuals, the other 4 are automatically set directly for compute. From what I understand they can still use all 18 for graphics or 14+4, 15+3, 16+2 or a 17+1 setup for gfx + compute. Regardless though, the other 4 are still used, so you are misrepresenting the difference. It's still 18 vs 12 CUs. So, there's still that big gap in performance.
PS4's GPU would still be mid-tier. And any current mid-tier GPU that could be used to it's fullest potential with code developed and optimized specifically for it on an ever-evolving SDK - can do amazing things for a few years to come.
Factor in the unified hUMA style GDDR5 and soon-to-be-standard GPGPU computing with the altered GPU made specifically for it in the PS4, and then the possibilities get even crazier.
Scroll to the last screenshot, with a Morpheus headset on a character, and titled "Concept Work with Project Morpheus?".
It's made for Project Morpheus it seems. Looks like it'll be something like that Forest game with a different environment.
Tried it very shortly a few months ago. It does have a Team Fortress vibe to it, and it seems quality. I can see myself playing it on PS4.
I wish the Blacklight: Retribution devs were a lil quicker at optimizing for PS4, cuz I'd be playing that more too, it just had too much screen tearing and crashing going on last time I played though.
Whoa, pretty cool.
That's not what he meant. He means, it would just not have the option to save the video sometimes when you hit 'share'. It's like sometimes it wouldn't turn the recording back on and you'd be stuck with no vid. It's much better now, though I've seen it happen a few times where it still doesn't allow me to save video, but it's waaaaayy more consistently recording than not now. So, that's a good thing.
i downloaded it months ago, by creating a UK account.
I wouldn't expect anything more from Crapcom. You should be happy they say it even runs well capped at 30fps. Trust, things could be worse when it comes to this quickly sinking Titanic ship of a once legendary gaming company.
