I assume they aren't using Panta Rhei because they are still optimizing and adding features to it, using Deep Down as the software to learn with. They said something to this effect in past interviews. They also said it wasn't configured well for working with a fighter yet.
Not a bad choice, it would still be nice if they'd have gotten Panta Rhei configured for a fighter in time. It has some amazing particle and lighting/fire fx.
It's not as easy as PS3's media server, and last time I tried it on PS4 most media wasn't compatible. Hopefully that's changed.
What if his info was stolen though, and it was a fraudulent purchase? What does it say then? We don't wanna hear it, we're gonna assume you're lying. That's what it says. You're speaking as if we know that he's BSing and gave his info to a family member/friend to use. Guilty until proven innocent isn't how it should be looked at, if it was Amazon or anywhere else - they'd definitely give the refund, especially the first time such a thing has happened.
It would have been better to just refund him, unless he's done this before. It makes them look petty to keep it going over 1 purchase, especially if this is the first time he's calling about such a situation. It definitely doesn't make them look good.
One of the only things that could make an open-world approach bad is if they didn't include enough stuff to do in all the areas. You don't want tons of empty land that's just there to traverse. As long as everything is filled in well, it should be good.
It'd be cool if they could do something similar to Zelda 1, where they randomize the dungeons after you beat the game. If they could find a way to make it work and have everything fit with a good procedural ran...
Crash may end up dying of old age in Activision's Maximum Security Prison with no chance of parole. Hopefully enough pressure can get put on Acitivision so that they take an offer for him.
Everything looks amazing, except his rope, it looks like a low poly model with a crappy texture wrapped around it.
Parries being back makes me think it's possible that they'll stick to their word from years about that SF5 would go back to being for the hardcore fans.
I don't like that they even felt they needed to reiterate that.
Hollow Knight looks cool.
Oro - Sean - Hugo - Gouken - maybe Gouken's daughter?
This isn't a Battle Royale game, or a VS game. It's a main entry in the SF series - so no.
Yeah, but Capcom is afraid, cuz SF3 didn't do the #s they wanted when it came out. The reason was blamed on the roster not being familiar. Me and my friends loved SF3, but there wasn't as much fandom overall. It was really that arcades were starting to die in general around that time, it was that transition period, and fighters were kinds being pushed to the wayside also at the time.
I'd be all for mainly new characters, something tells me they're gonna be few...
With that $16 price tag, I am not sure there's too many that will be buying it. At $5 or so, I could see some people saying to hell with it and purchasing it. At nearly $20, not so much. Hopefully too many don't dish out for it, because Square needs to be given a solid message here. They shouldn't be rewarded for this type of crap. People beg and beg for a remake forever, and instead they announce they wanna rip everyone off with a crappy port.
"We Don't Think a Lower FPS Looks More Cinematic"
Yeah, that's easy to say when the visuals for your game don't even look spectacular going by last gen standards.
My main issue with the look of this game is that the polycount and texture res is super low, and it makes it look like a 1st gen cell-shaded game. A good example is the real-life hand that represents the kid, it looks like horse crap. Hiding behind the fact that it's suppose to be notebook sketches doesn't help. The overall visual quality looks like some free web game, minus the fx.
@ninsigma, Well it's been on PS3 forever, so they definitely know how it works - and no, it's not hard to add.
Well you can turn off basically all other notifications on PS4, so I assume there'll be an option to turn this one off too. I'm about to turn off the one that lets you know when someone joins a party, it really gets annoying.
"Sony officials confirmed that this original iteration of Street Fighter 5 will not appear on any console besides PS4."
Does that mean it's true that they could be on some BS for real with SF5 exclusivity, and Super/Ultra SF5 could come out for other consoles?
