Same reason as always. It might hurt potential season pass/dlc sales markets if awesome mods are coming out back to back and becomes a trend on more and more games.
The whole idea of how the PS4 Pro is gonna operate, it wasn't gonna be fully taken advantage of in the first place. That's one thing that turned me off from it from the gate. It's just for better textures in some cases, higher resolution and hopefully higher/more steady fps. It's not gonna be for bigger/broader worlds with better AI/etc. The only way it could fully be taken advantage of, is if they end up having exclusives for it, where devs could dive in and push it to it'...
Niiiiiice! I was just recently looking for 'n getting annoyed at the lack of a Screenshot Capture shortcut. Very cool, along with all the optimizations. I connected all my accounts to it now, Google, Imgur, Twitch and Youtube, just to be ready for easy access.
Hopefully they start allowing us to fully rebind the controller buttons on the PC versions of all PlayAnywhere titles. It's a basic feature nowadays, and with how much MS was going on about GOW4 having so many options/settings on PC, I found it strange to not have full controller rebinding. It'll make it a real pain for people that want to use alt setups that won't work with the default button layouts they give you.
The amount of agrees you got is a perfect example of why users on n4g are so annoying. The dude just explained perfectly what's going on in the blog post. Literally zero reading comprehension. SMH
@Movefasta1993,
Well, FromSoftware definitely does respect Berserk alot, when you look at the ridiculous amount of references to it in Dark Souls.
Boscogn and Adon are in it. You can even play as the disgusting Wyald. One thing I was surprised about was that The Count was in there. I'm not into Musou games though, so I feel it's gonna be a bit of a letdown for me gameplay-wise, after seeing some vids. It makes me really wish Team Ninja was working on it. Though, the characters and story arcs they are covering are impressive, it'll still depend on how it transitions. It'd be nice to have a more open-world feel.
@crazychris4124,
The only downside to the PC version, and thing keeping me from making it a day 1 purchase is that it's a Win10/Windows Store/UWP exclusive. Crossplay is only for co-op modes (Campaign, Horde, and VS against bots), all competitive multiplayer modes are non-crossplay. So, that means there's a good chance the competitive multiplayer modes will be dead shortly after launch, like UE's multiplayer is on PC now.
My only hope is that they allow...
@ShadowKnight
Yeah, I'm happy with it. I got a "used-like new" 980ti when I built the PC in April, but when the 1080 and 1070 were coming out, prices were less than I expected for them, so I asked Amazon for early return credit for the 980ti. I was gonna get a 1080, but I game at 1080p, so figured it was overkill, and just waited for the 1070 and traded the 980ti out for it and returned the 980ti to Amazon. I saved $120(would be around $220 if the 980ti was new) and go...
@ShadowKnight
I got the Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 Gaming.
Xbox Live actually started on the original Xbox. I begrudgingly got a few months of it so I could play Capcom vs SNK 2:EO back in early '03, when Xbox Live launched. Before Live launched, Silver was suppose to allow free online play, while Gold was suppose to offer all the discounts, special tournament stuff, free games, etc. Then, as it got closer to launching, they switched it to saying Silver would allow for free online on the weekends only. Then, by the time it launched, Silver was wo...
Well, this was a given once they paywalled online behind it. It was to be expected, they don't need the quality anymore to snatch up those consumers that need the online for their shooters/sports/fighters/etc.
Plus Dark Souls is insanely influenced by Berserk as is. There's a couple videos showing some of the Berserk references in Dark Souls, this is just 1 of a few vids - https://www.youtube.com/wat...
Yeah Team Ninja definitely should have been the one working on Berserk, rather than Omega Force just reskinning Dynasty Warriors yet again.
Steam release or no sale.
Gears:UE didn't do well by any means on Windows Store, they've admitted it. It came out just a few months ago, and has been dead for a few months. So, I guess that's the next exclusive game, and their 1st 1st party title that's possibly up for a Steam release.
For the PC version: The main thing that'll kill the game in no time will be the Win10/Windows Store/UWP exclusivity. It's the main thing that killed Ultimate Edition. They have to follow Quantum Break's lead, at launch immediately though, with a Win7-8/DX11 supported Steam release. Windows Store is far too unsupported and avoided by gamers, just way too many issues with it and it's policies/restrictions/bugs/cra p service in general. The playerpool will never survive for the n...
It's gonna be rough on the new COD and BF, with them being stuck on charging $$$ for DLC map packs. Everyone on the consoles is now understanding about how that splits up the community, and there's less and less people to play with everytime a new $$DLC$$ map pack releases.
Great games like Overwatch releasing and doing DLC proper is gonna make it hard on them. Even the new Gears of War 4 is gonna be doing map packs right by giving them out for free to not segregate...
@hells_supernova,
Yeah, the only problem with M$ is them still trying to hold onto the Win10/Windows Store/UWP exclusivity for games on PC. They're letting Quantum Break come to Steam with Win7-8/DX11 support next month, which is great. Ofcourse it's only because the atrocious sales and other issues with it on the Windows Store though. They need to put GOW:UE and GOW4 on Steam.
UE should go on Steam ASAP, while there's still interest in it by ...
@ShadowWolf712, they get $ out of everything sold on their platform.
