Good ole school sidescrolling fun, in HD.
Oh yeah, SOM for the win! Square-Enix needs to get off their ass and finally make a "proper" sequel to this game.
Me and a friend of mine noticed this right away with the game. The horrible AI of the guards was really obvious. The game also didn't at all match the early trailers visual quality, although they claimed it was real-time back then.
Good ole Police Quest. Sierra was one of the masters of the point-&-clickers.
Considering they waited until they saw the pre-sales weren't boding well before they made the changes. No, they don't deserve credit for it. They did it solely to stay afloat, not because they heard the voices of the people and wanted to make them happy.
It would be really cool if they incorporated some of this into the user interface of the OS for people with the PS4 Eye.
Destroy All Humans! was a cool game, I'll keep my eye on this No Goblin team.
Yeah, and I was a huge KI 1 fan. I have to admit though, even the art style of this new KI does not impress me, it just doesn't have the feel of KI. Double Helix I don't wanna diss, but looking at their track record doesn't instill confidence that they'll produce something great.
There has been mention that some older KI team members are working on the project, but I wish the visuals were reminiscent of the older style. It's still cool that a new KI is com...
LOL. Well, to be fair, they didn't diss KI or Double Helix, it's once Microsoft was mentioned that they started booing.
Following in Sony's footsteps. Smart move.
@SephirothX21, The DX 11.2 texture tiling is them just catching back up.
It's already been mentioned long ago that the PS4 will be doing something similar to John Carmack's mega-textures used in Rage, but through hardware, which is basically what DX 11.2 is trying to parallel.
So, basically, no, X1 will not have a better graphics API. It's been mentioned many times that PS4 is way ahead of X1 in terms of the APIs, and this is another case of X1 ju...
Well, atleast the actual visual quality of the videos will be at a set standard. There's already tons of crappy vids all over the place on youtube. Just stick to the subscriptions you already have, and you should be fine. PS4 does a 15 minute block of playback stream, so you'll still want to have your own recording equip for the hour long walkthroughs. There'll be more crap for sure, but there'll also be more good vids out there. The main thing is the video quality will be bet...
Capcom vs SNK 2 was one of my favorites. I got it on Xbox in 2003 and bought Xbox Live just for that game. I might have to get this game, it'd be nice if it was an HD remake tho.
LOL @ teh cloud power. You mention the poor hardware installed on the PS4, yet you are an Xbone fan? Did you not know that the PS4 has a GPU that contains 50% more raw power than the Xbone? It also has 8GB fully unified GDDR5 ram compared to Xbone's 8GB DDR3 ram, which is not particularly good for graphics processing, and they make up for it with a tiny 32mb eSRAM, which makes Xbone more complex to program for.
The PS4 will outperform Xbone easily in exclusives and multip...
Blah, eventually they're gonna ruin SF like they did RE it seems. Just give them time, I'm glad Hugo 'n Elena are in there, but I already knew they'd be copying over SF x Tekken characters, with Hugo, Poison and Rolento. They're just taking the easy route and looking for new ways to milk a game they already have a solid base for. If SF5 is gonna take awhile because they are putting real effort into it to make it unique and solid, fine, if it's just being held back beca...
As long as it's something completely new, then fine.
We won't be dealing with sub-standard 3rd party releases this gen on PS4. Especially when you consider that the PS4 is the easier of the two consoles to develop on this time, and it having a more mature development environment than the Xbox One currently. Even if the Xbox One ends up being the base console to make ports from, without any optimizations the PS4 version will still match or outperform it in fps, AA and possibly visuals based on the speed of the ram and increased raw power of ...
Yeah, I remember that old Buffy game, it was decent. Blood Rayne made the list, cool. The original Legacy of Kain was really great too, especially how you get to play the intro where there is no way to escape death by the villagers.
What'd they do to Glacius?
It'll be awesome if some of the rumors of hardware upgrades are true, like possibly upclocking the CPU from 1.6GHZ to 2GHZ.
