When you see it person in real-time 4k hdr on a 4k screen.... it’s amazing. Some PCs can obviously outperform it but in my opinion the One X is the closest to PC graphics a console has ever gotten. In some cases it’s hard to even tell. Hands down beautiful. It’s the reason I pre-ordered one the second I could. I was a believer after seeing in action for less than 2 min. Web videos can never demonstrate how good it looks in real life. :)
So this article pretty much says what I said in a previous comment on another thread to a bunch of disagrees. I don’t think people realize how much more dialed in this system is - even over the pro. I’ve experienced it first hand and know exactly what the writer is talking about. Seeing it 1:1, in 4k hdr on a proper 4k screen running real-time is absolutely impressive and it made me giddy w/ excitement. It’s an experience you absolutely will not get from watching web compressed comparison vid...
I have 2 4k tvs, an Xbox one s a PS4 pro and I played the one x (worked on e3 marketing and promotion for it and went to e3 and ms’ presser). There is a clear difference in presentation on MANY titles. The thing is you need to see the stuff in 4k on a 4k screen as it was intended. 1080p games look downright soft in comparison. Compressed internet videos in 1080p or less don’t let you see that. People are so quick to downplay the fidelity based on crap internet videos which are the complete ...
As an own of 2 4k tvs I will say you’re wrong.
It helps to actually see the one x version in native 4k on a 4k screen. Can’t really see that in internet videos compressed for the web. It truly needs to be seen in person on a 4k hdr screen. Your brain will melt. The one s is obviously 1080p and if it’s on S the output is then upscaled to 4k... unless you don’t have a 4k screen. Subpixels def matter for comparison too and we won’t see that either on compressed internet video (especially h264 flavors)
Worth noting here is that you aren’t seeing the one x version in 4k/60 here. That’s something you can never compare on the internet unless your video stream is 4k and your screen is 4k - otherwise you’re just seeing render improvements only.
Can not wait. Since it comes out before the x I’ll get nice and used to it on the s, then that x will swoop in a month later for that second pick me up of f7 love.
Dope. I already own this on xb1 so it will be cool to see it in action and compare it first hand when my x ships.
How is that funny? And why does it matter that it was a timed exclusive. Anthem was also shown to demonstrate the power of the one x and it’s not an exclusive either. 3rd party studios can make good, beautiful games that aren’t exclusives.
Looks fantastic.
So 700 cars on f7 or 138 cars on sport.. and no plans for gt7? It’s been real gran tursimo. Thanks for your service.
Until the one x is released.... obviously the most powerful console out will run it best. Right now that’s the pro and in a month it will be the X. And I am going to wait to buy this game until my one x arrives for that very reason even tho I own the PS4 pro.
if you play the game with a controller it gives you a controller handicap, even if you have all the assists off etc. the only way to get around that is to play with a feedback wheel. not sure if that was the case here but i know it to be true.
I'm getting both.
heres the thing. the one x and the iPhone x are both premium products. if you don't want to spend that much money theres the xbox one s and iPhone 8 for less money (and less wow). just like cars, computers, electronics and everything else under the sun. how many people complain about the price of a ferrari? no one really because they know its not in their price range. if a 500 console or a 1k phone is expensive to you - guess what, you're not a premium product person. some peopl...
as a ps4 owner i say lame. as an xbox owner, i agree with my ps4 owner sentiment. lame.
they didn't cut ties. ms bought bungie and when bungie became successful enough to afford it, they bought themselves back but ms still owns the Halo franchise from a previous deal to make the exclusives - hence why there are still halo games. they didn't make a conscious decision to just say "hey i don't want to do halo and work with ms anymore". it was a series of business maneuvers the netted out where it did.
two different games but sure. also... destiny is multiplatform so not only does it have access to more people, it has more platforms, and that means more revenue which means more production budget which means higher end designers, writers and developers, advertising and so on. this is exactly why most developers don't actually like doing exclusives unless they are compensated for the difference and exactly why bungie chose to do what it did. its also why developers who do exclusives to ...
MS does need more exclusives but as one who ordered the One X, it doesn’t matter to me as much as it matters to the Sony Fan Club.
I bought a PS4 Pro too and while some Sony exclusives are great (UC4/Lost Legacy), I bought the Pro because it offered more performance and I have 4k TVs so I wanted a console to take advantage of that.
Considering my new current fav is Destiny 2 (not an exclusive) and the games I play most (gtaV, d2, Battlefield One etc) an...
gonna be perform really well on the X then; definitive console version. this is the first game i've had to debate the purchase of in regards to the x. I have an xbox one s and a ps4 pro. i know the ps4 pro version is enhanced and will run better than on the xbox one s.... but.... i also pre-ordered the one x so if i bought it on xbox i would have the best console version in the long run if i can live with it being less good as on the pro in the meantime.
