It’s not just resolution... and 4k is literally double the resolution. When you have a 4k tv, blurring and aliasing are nonissues. If a game is running in true 4k it’s near impossible to see chatter. But beyond that it’s better frame rates and more effects. Things like more particles means things like more environmental effects, more and better smoke effects. Better explosion effects, better water, higher fidelity animation cycles, cube mapping, higher res 4k textures etc.

Not in my opinion considering my favorite purchase this year was the PS4 pro, and my favorite games this year were forza 6, horizon 3, uncharted 4, lost legacy , horizon zero dawn, destiny 2 and gta5.

100%. The thing that made 4 great (and all of them) from a gameplay standpoint is how it breaks up the flow with variations of type of gameplay. Like when you’re about to get tired of climbing around looking for a way after a while those mercenaries roll up and now the game has switched from “maze” to shoot/cover which is a completely different energy and perfect to switch up. yeah for sure but its nice it’s hittig those 4k targets and seeing it actually pull off some impressive performance. Developers seem to be really impressed with the hardware and it’s letting them add more fidelity and sparkle. Can’t wait til mine gets shipped.
I could see it. Huge launch and it’s better than the first destiny which ended up gaming a lot of fans and traction in the end. Seems if people liked it then and it’s shaping up to be a better experience now, the math adds up to a successful launch. I’m enjoying it very much, personally. A) forza is a sim, DriveClub is an arcade racer. Sims require way more power than arcade racers. Need proof? Look at Gran Turismo Sport running on the same system. DriveClub still looks better. It doesn’t have to calculate any of the stuff that’s sims do.... like tire deformation, temperature, air pressure, downforce and so on.
