The best thing about being an open-minded, nonfanboy is that you can do things like buy both as I did. And both are excellent. F7 is probably a stronger title with more on offer but GTS got the GT franchise out of a terrible rut and came out swinging. I’m pleased with both. Also. Nobody mentioned pcars2 which is a HUGE improvement over the previous release. Great time to be a racing fan in the video game space.
Reviews and MC seem to support my impressions with GTS at 77%, ...
Fanboys often times miss good things cuz they’re too busy looking away. Sorry for your loss.
Bummer.
LOL. DC is an arcade racer and completely limited in just about everything GTS isn’t - canned physics, no tuning, no customizing, no modifying, no livery editor... not even one real world track. . That’s like saying Call of Duty a good alternative RPG and RBI Baseball an alternative to MLB The Show.
Also DC has no PS4 Pro support, doesn’t support steering wheels properly and is capped at 30 fps. It has more in common with the likes of project Gotham racing, NFS and all those....
switch is a joke and the one X is coming. No way Switch can run big boy games. FIFA 18 already demonstrated the limitations straight away.
Curious to know ITV they played on base PS4 or PS4 pro. I have it on the Pro and it looks really good. Haven’t seen it on base PS4.
the one X will kill it.
Ouch. Right on some things but kinda overkill overall in this review. I played it last night. It’s great. I’d give it an 8. I’d give it a 8.7 if it had way more content and a 9.3 if it had a better single player/career. It’s not far from the titanfall1 campaign if you catch my drift (car puns ftw)
Good:
improved physics
Improved sound (thank you)
Excellent visual presentation
Great use of HDR/4k (dynamic scaling)
Skill system ad...
Sorry but a bs review score makes me doubt the credibility of the reviewer more than the quality of the game. This is absolutely a minority review used as a soapbox to push a manufactured crisis. I could understand docking a point or 2 for the disappointment to an otherwise decent game at the very least (which a large majority of reviews concede) but this is a thinly veiled agenda. To me, a biased, unobjective opinion is a wasted opinion and more harmful than MT. After all, you can still enjo...
F off. Don't tell me what to buy based your hang ups. I could give a F with or without loot boxes. while we're at it i wish web sites didn't have ads, Youtube didn't have preroll and tv shows didn't have commercials either yet i still watch my shows and i still visit my sites and channels.
if you don't like loot boxes, just don't buy them (even tho most are technically free within the games at some point anyway). They aren't going anywhe...
meh. i just see the medium maturing into the mainstream as a legit form of accepted entertainment. better tech allows for better storytelling which circles back into the medium maturing and reaching the capability of adult themed entertainment.
side scrollers were side scrollers because 3d wasn't possible. photo real or in the neighborhood of photo real was not possible. If Castlevania was a new game developed recently, you could bet it would be way more graphic and adu...
These decisions are made by business development teams, not the creatives. The way it works is creatives do the stories, game design, level design, visuals etc, biz dev works with ux to incorporeal and invent revenue streams that creatives then have to work in. Developers literally just build the creative. Developers proper have little to no input on the actual design. Literally an assembly line.
lol you definitely picked up the latest memo featuring gamer outrage talking points of the week.
heres the thing. $60 should buy you a full game. We all agree on that. The point of contention is just how much of a game is considered a full game worth $60. Theres no standard metric for that. In the case of Microtransactions and loot crates, maybe some people don't like them but in all the games mentioned racently, no one is forced to buy them and in the case of ma...
this is going to be what saves it for me. I figured this would be the case, but the launch content will be a little light, especially compared to the other fellas recently released.
I hope someday they integrate a dynamic weather system. Thats actually been pretty great on f7 - especially for private lobby races just to throw in some unexpected challenges to retune etc.
Pretty excited for this bad boy to launch tho. as an avid race fan i feel I'...
Weird considering there are actual real world simulator applications that are completely customizable. They definitely don’t train race team drivers on video games. They have actual simulators so they can specify tire compounds, wear, load, change ambient temps, operating temps, humidity etc. similar to pilot training.
Seriously.
Having spent some time w/ GTS myself I agree. It’s not exactly a ringing endorsement here but it’s still good.
On the PS4 specifically; In terms of content GTS is definitely the smallest. PCARS2 has way more content and slightly better physics but isn’t quite as polished and pretty as GTS (still looks good tho). The physics in GTS are still great regardless.
I’m just glad there are finally a couple of options for real racers on the PS4 now. I was never in...
that sucks, but $20k ain't shit, especially for that - especially for the salary these guys make already. Even my wife got more than a year of salary for her legal/boss problem and she makes 6 figures a year. That dude could have gotten way more. Even better though if shit like this just didn't happen. Toxic work environment scenarios have plagued this household so we have experienced it firsthand and it sucks on pretty much a lot of levels.
The title with the best console driving simulation isn’t mentioned here. It’s PCars2. It definitely has better physics than both F7 and GTS. I would know as I have all 3 and have played all 3 with Logitech g29 and 920 respectively, with H pattern shifters (Strangley GTS doesn’t support a clutch setting). Also PCars2 isn’t an exclusive so anyone can get it.
