@dark: I don’t buy 70s. That’s a C. I like A’s and B’s. Also it’s down to a 70 since I read this.
A) if you expected them to be gone then you've gone beyond optimistic and straight into naive. B) micro transactions in general are never going to go away so if you hate them, you should probably stop playing video games, or at least do your best to ignore them.
personally i could care less as long as the transactions are extra things, or customizing things, and not essential to the core game experience. i can totally see charging for extra skins, custom graphics th...
Last time I checked, Nintendo was destroying everyone in the handheld market and the vita has had more dead/almost dead/not quite dead articles than any DS flavored device. Sorry. Sony doesn’t win everything.
One last thing. I own a Switch. It is not a console. It is definitely a handheld that plugs into a big tv. Period. Just because you can play it on a tv does not make it a console. You could literally do everything the switch is on a brand new iPad and it would have more power than the switch in both graphics and cpu (I also have a new iPad). Comparing the switch to my PS4 pro and Xbox one s (soon to be the pre-ordered Scorpio Edition X) is like comparing a bicycle to a motorcycle. It has prac...
It was so smart it can’t run any multiplatform AAA games which are the most popular, highest selling games.... yes it’s smart to limit your capabilities. Don’t forget also that this means it can’t run a lot of popular tools and engines that make the games.... like physX and Frostbite etc so no Battlegrounds or Star Wars Battle Front. Def won’t get Red Dead 2 or GTA5. Will never be able to have a proper racing sim or Destiny 2 or Anthem... I could keep going.
Meh. Looks cheap and early 2000s.
vr has a future for sure. its just not great on playstation. and probably won't be great on any console this generation. Its much better on high end PCs. Also think of the practical applications of having VR multiplayer games in a public space like a vr arcade or tournament. They can track positional data (like the vive and oculus) - similar to the in-house valve demo. you can literally walk and move around, arms and hands tracked, physical locations tracked. thats immersive. you c...
So you can by the bundle for $360 or you can buy the switch for $299.99 and Zelda for $59.99 which actually saves you 2 cents before taxes. What’s the point or benefit? The coveted “1 sku checkout”?
Nope. Famous race cars are customized per car and driver. Kent blocks focus RS is hardly the same as the stock focus as it’s been completely rebuilt inside. That’s also why they have weird numbers behind the model. The techs make those numbers, not the manufacturer. Or they work with the manufacturer to produce one off special versions built to spec. Audi has several versions of their hybrid formula cars and thy all look similar but perform differently based on tracks etc.
Agreed. MS has done more for gamers in the last 2 years than Sony has to make things right. They have all the right tech in all the right places, functionality is improved, performance improved, the policies have improved, dev support and now kickass hardware. Sony pretty much only wins on exclusives in my opinion at this point which are important but only one piece of a large pie.
The haters on n4g will just hate. Even if ms gave away free consoles and discovered a cure ...
lol. The public shaming is real. Sounds like the guy had it coming.
@megamanXXX
you are right in cases of powerful pc’s but the thing is, nobody was talking about pc’s and since it’s an article about the benefits of the most powerful CONSOLE, I don’t think anyone really cares about the pc version. Weird that since I don’t have a gaming pc or want one I don’t really read pc articles. Why do you read console articles? Seems like it’s just to troll and that really robs you of the opportunity to be taken as a relevant contributor to the convers...
Another example of more power bringing a better experience. Until the next round of hardware refreshes, the One X versions of multiplatform games will be noticeably better than other consoles - unless for some reason they are artificially held back (destiny 2 I’m looking at you...).
Doesn’t look like a downgrade, just more art directed and the lighting is a little different (bright lit faces etc)
Didn’t the game review really well?? I own it and think it’s practically the reason to get a switch. It’s not the best Zelda and it’s not perfect but it’s def a good title.
For once we agree :)
Vr is great on pc. The gear is better and power isn’t a problem. Sony was maybe a bit too ambitious to get vr on PS4. It’s just not enough of a machine and the move controllers are years behind the oculus and rift input devices.
I don’t see how. Th Xbox one s is still for sale and will continue to be supported. If you want to upgrade you have an OPTION, you don’t have to.
Also. Everyone railed on 900p being unacceptable so they fixed it. They can do no right in the eyes of the haters. I play Xbox and I preordered a One X. I’m excited about the new capabilities, not angry.
The PS4 pro was an improvement so I bought it, but the one X did the refresh right as the Pro is a little b...
Another win for X.
Hmmm. PS4 exclusive Knack 2 or Destiny 2 this week? Def destiny 2.
