Casual games for real gamers?
If you call yourself a "real gamer" there are NO games for you, casual or not, because you're not a gamer.
...are you only now beginning to follow industry news?
Most game companies have a history of making profoundly stupid decisions. Often because the people in charge of these game companies... no nothing about games.
It's very hard to sell a product you don't know anything about.
Racist games?
And no one mentions GTA? The from III to VC to SA to IV, it's as racist as it comes.
What a brilliant idea: let's complain the least-important aspect of two games that won't be released for another year, at best.
Good god. Remember back when N4G was all about actual news, not dumb-asses fishing for hits?
My memory is that Okami was a big hit on PS2, and the Wii port was generally regarded as inferior.
Decent price, but I'm still not gonna buy one. Not until they release a 3DS with screens of comparable size to the DSi XL.
Open world isn't necessary.
What's necessary is... wider environments. More room for exploration, and the like.
The most important thing for me is a combat system revamp. Combat in XIII was terrible IMHO.
My opinion: it damn well better.
These gratuitously bad ass, manly man games are the cancer killing gaming.
I'd be more angry if Bioware had released more than one game in the past decade that was any good.
What are graphics?
Bloom? Anti-aliasing? V-Sync? Texture quality? Frame rate? Resolution?
It's too wide a category. With bad "graphics," a game is unplayable. Literally. (Just look at NWN2 or a Bethesda game).
In terms of quality of animation, modeling, textures and lighting (which, let's be honest, is how most people define the term)... that's important too. Let's not kid ourselves. But the most important aspect of ...
Nier was a bit of a cult hit: most of the people who played it, and could get around the hideous character design and atrocious animation... really, really loved the game.
Though I don't know how well it could stand being made into a saga. The story of Nier was wrapped up fairly well, which would mean any further stories would have to take place in the same world, but several decades removed.
Which, actually, is how I prefer my sequels.
...
Not every game has to be a masterpiece, ya' know. These games have a certain appeal, and fill a certain niche that, let's be honest, no other games do.
I mean, just look at the basic premise: you control a elite warrior with superpowers in the middle of a giant battlefield swarming with thousands of soldiers--your actions effect the outcome of each battle.
It's a very, very solid premise. Granted, Koei hasn't brought out the full potential of ...
I think that's a pretty unconvincing list.
I love LBP, but from the demo (and this article) this sequel doesn't seem to be offering me too much I can't already get.
Well, I'm interested in the much-touted Move controls, but that'll depend on how well they're implemented.
Years 1 and 2 were pretty bad for the PS3.
Everything since than has been absurdly awesome.
These troll articles were tired and pointless last year. Even more so now.
According to the very-legit sounding rumor, TESV has been in a "complete" form for several years already.
For those who don't know, a couple years ago someone posted on a certain gaming forum, claiming to be a recently-quit Bethesda employee... and this poster shared a number of details about TESV. That it would use a new engine, that it would take place in Skyrim, as well as a few gameplay details.
Said poster claimed the game had been finished...
I bought the first two games to support the series in the States.
Yakuza fans have more than just two choices. We don't have to either not play the game, or settle for a gimped copy. If SEGA gimps Yakuza 4, I'll just import it.
By then, it'll probably have a THE BEST edition for ~$35 USD.
I also never argued... at all... that an English dub was a good thing, or that it was something I desired. I merely pointed out that by not dubb...
...You watch the trailer?
It's like they took everything that made SSX awesome... and removed it.
Game looks like garbage.
A Grimdark reboot for SSX? Why, in God's name why did they decide to do that?
I love the series.
But I'm not gonna buy another gimped game.
Especially considering they don't bother to re-dub anything. That alone saves 'em a ton of money.
More sucking up to Bioware? Really?
They've had a handful of fantastic games, but only a handful. I'm sick of seeing Bioware touted as the "best" WRPG developer simply because they don't really have ~any~ competition these days.
