lol, no. Vesperia was one of the better Tales of games.
And I don't see why BN couldn't just call the PS3 version "Vesperia F" to get around the deal with MS.
Should have a PS3 tag, not PSP.
If you're going to be an asshole and disagree with a personal opinion, at least have the balls to post yourself.
I didn't know the other Ace Attorney game wasn't getting localized. That's too bad.
Some games I'd add to the list.
Hatsune Miku: Project Diva (PSP)
Project Diva: The 2nd (PSP)
Gundam Battle Universe (PSP)
Macross Triangle Frontier (PSP)
Mobile Suit Gundam Senki: Record U.C. 0081 (PS3)
Yakuza! Kenzan (PS3)
I really doubt it. Nintendo really hasn't handled online stuff remotely well with any of their consoles.
Vita seems really cool... but for the life of me I can't figure out what possible reason there is for a touch pad on the bottom of the system. It seems... completely arbitrary, and makes me wonder if Sony has any clue what they're doing.
No. It really says something about the gaming industry that most big titles are ports, remakes and sequels.
Agreed. The PSN store is still down in JAPAN, of all places: Sony will have a hard time recovering from this, it'll probably take years.
I'm sick of all this BS about the current console generation "being on the way out." Sure, the Wii and 360 may not have much in the way of software for currently or in the forseeable future, but the PS3 is doing better than ever.
I think the (very stupid) idea here is that there will be extra content for people w/ choices carried over from ME1 or ME2, which is silly because the PS3 had the comic thing to import choices, and ME3 is supposed to have one too, so it shouldn't matter if you have saves or not.
Yes, it did. Ten years ago.
This is just an HD port. No reason it should get poor review unless it was a buggy port.
Dungeon Siege has never had deep character customization, party systems, or strategy of any kind. It was always a fast-paced Action-RPG game, in that genre most frequently known as "Diablo-clone."
The first two games were the only "clones" with the possible exception of Torchlight's short-lived fame to grab its own, unique identity. Yes, Dungeon Siege III is an awful game, but that's mostly due to very, very poor execution, not because of any chang...
"Tight combat and excellent value ensure that American McGee’s latest yarn can’t be ignored out of hand, but at the end of the day, you’ve played this game a thousand times before."
What a load of BS. By that logic, no FPS, TPS or platformer should EVER be given a decent review, because those are all the copies of ancient games differing only in visual aesthetic (and more often than not, not even then) and narrative structure.
And Fighters don't...
I don't usually care for fighters, but DoA:D is surprisingly addictive.
Five reasons? Hah. I can do better. Here's the only one you need: pointless generic shooter.
I didn't even know there were contests till I saw the PM. Cool.
I'm actually pretty surprised my blog post was so well received. Thanks to everyone who read it!
Precisely. The industry has never-before been so heavily dominated by so few genres--let alone, you know, just one.
It's unprecedented.
That just makes Sony sound really, really stupid.
What if manufacturing costs ended up being much higher or lower than expected?
What if, you know, there was some sort of global economic crisis, or string of natural disasters, that left vast numbers of consumers with less disposable income than before?
What if inflation continues, but wages remain constant?
Look at announced release dates between now and 2012. North America only has 24 titles: Europe only half that. And most of those are shovelware.
And for the record, "tl;dr" doesn't mean you can get away with NOT reading the rest of the post. Especially if you're going to try and refute it.
I was referring mostly to the industry as a whole, and less about OoT, specifically. Personally, I see a "remastered edition" as, well, basically a port with a few changes.
But anyway, the REAL reason why sequels and remakes are made has nothing to do with the quality of the titles... it's all about brand-recognition. When the economy is bad, the entertainment industry focuses on low-risk productions because they entail the least amount of risk. The reason we...
