Can't understand the fuzz with the battery life consumption from such a simple USB attachment device. This is a low-power accessory that only features a super small, low-res and monochromatic oled interface that automatically idles off after a few seconds. It only lights on the few pixels that it has when you touch it to change/update the buttons profile. Besides that, 99% of the time this accessory is a simple 2 digital button input. I would say that its virtually impossible to notice an...

I am not a fanboy at all, and if the best you can argue is with that maybe you're the fanboy here.

I really love technology in general, specially computer graphics breakthroughs.

What I meant is that, this is a great "few seconds" 2019 demo showcasing of weather rainy effects. It just reminded me how trully amazing were the weather rain effects in a real shipped product like Uncharted 4, three years ago.

See it for yoursel...

It looks great of course. But being just a small standalone benchmark test this gives even more credit to what Naughty Dog was able to achieve this generation with a real product like Uncharted 4 a few years ago.

It is my opinion that the Switch Lite only exists because Nintendo couldn't resist the temptation of doing the obvious of spinning-off the original Switch into a cheaper machine to appeal to younger audiences, thus keep stimulating the hardware sales.

However, that come with a price that I don't understand what Nintendo could win in the long run besides some additional hardware sales in this initial phase.

Since the (original) Switch was already a...

Funny that the Switch itself succeed due to its Hybrid concept in the first place, where by design the machine itself was always portable since day one.

Since they already sell the Dock in separate, why not just offer a Switch SKU without the Dock and a more affordable entry price point to the system? This way, the hybrid concept would prevail and at anytime in the future "portable-first" owners, could easily buy a dock to join the hybrid experience.

Nintendo always delivered high quality games with modest hardware. It is exactly what they are doing with Switch in a beautiful hybrid concept that smoothly transit from home console to portable console and vice-versa.

This concept would never worked with Playstation userbase that demands high quality games with the best state of the art fidelity.

So I don't think Switch needs any update. However I find stupid why at least the dock is not compatible w...

It is interestingly how easily more then 90% relate this type of teases to "hardware" revisions of something that is already available. For me that is not "something new".

This shows how people easily give more valuable to "hardware" revisions then "software" content. So the all smartphone strategy being imported to console industry might be very well supported by the consumers itself. Regardless, I actually agree with some "mi...

What I understood is that the offline campaign is about driving lessons and mission challenges. But you're still able to setup your own custom offline races against AI in the arcade mode.

Since this game is focus on MP and eSports, the available options are pretty much aligned.

Basically, the campaign mode will be the Polyphony Digital offline guided training playground. The arcade mode will be your offline racing training playground. And then the Mul...

The calculation is very inaccurate even for just raw Flop performance. There is no distinguish between n-bit floating point operations.

For instance, whereas the 1.8 Teraflops of PS4 is the count of 32-bit Floating Point operations performance, the 1 Teraflop of Switch is the metric of 16-bit Floating Point operations. In fact, Switch should have something like 0.5 Teraflops of 32-bit Floating Point performance, which is still significantly better then WiiU but much less th...

Why publishers would give you 20 seconds of Tomb Raider 2 on Unreal Engine 4?

Fans don't employ hundreds of other high qualified employees neither commit themselves to deliver a finished product to an audience. Fans dedicate their free time create short showcase demos of well established popular games as a personal motivation within the learning process.

If in the other hand this fans dedicate the same amount of time doing something new, probably wi...

To me this is the biggest flaw of the system so far.

Anyone knows if we can use wireless headphones with the system? Does the 2 USB ports on the dock work for anything?

This kind of compilation video is misleading because it represents a small fraction of hardware issues from a 2 million units launching stock. Although it is not pleasant for those who experienced, as long as Nintendo replaces for a new unit, they should be fine.

Nevertheless, regarding to the wrist grips mechanism I agree that Nintendo must improve the mechanism to avoid locking when inserted in wrong direction.

PSVR is next whenever they re-stock...

Meanwhile, it seems many people have more time to write all sort of "crying" articles instead of actually playing and enjoying video-games.

In Japan there is no PS4 Pro anywhere since lunch. I see Yodobashi, one of the major retail shop in Japan, is starting receiving small amounts that are quickly sold out in a couple of hours.

"Nintendo somehow got around to the idea of selling what’s essentially a crippled version of Nvidia’s $99 dollar microconsole, for $300. Mobile chipsets like the Tegra X1 aren’t remotely expensive, coming in at substantially less than $100."

The title of this article is completely misleading as it suggests the video is a glimpse of MGS3 on FoxEngine itself. And although I give the merit to the person spent time on this, but using After Effects to post process original MGS3 it is not even close of the actual representation of what would be MGS3 made with FoxEngine.

Finally, I would argue with the statement that suggests MGS fans are claiming for this. We should appreciate more the original work in the PS2 which ...
