Thanks guys, our team is made up of gamers pure and simple. Mums, dads, young ones, "old" ones (cough - self - cough) and many have all or at least a few systems.
We simply chose to use the 360 as our primary gaming platform. Nothing more, or less. We're glad you took the time to wander over and check out more of the site. One thing we don't and won't do is simply grab news, throw it up with a small pic and link it to "the source".
We'll write ou...
Well it depends a lot on what work you do. While the Stats will say one thing, which is usually quite high, and NOT representative of real wages, the reality is that most ppl have huge bills and it all evens its self out.
I pay $AU400 a week rent, yet I'm on a pension that only pays $330 per week. If it wasn't for the fact I get some $$'s for doing some other stuff on the side, I'd be up the creek without a paddle. And that's not including phone, internet, food electricity etc et...
I agree with you there mate. While I was in a band when I was "younger" shhhhh we won't go there - okay, I just can't see how someone can justify spending that amount on a game when they could get a proper electric drum kit and small amp and some real guitars and have fun anyhow. Sure, you need to learn how to play, but that is half the fun - isn't it.
These companies make a killing with the DLC which is where they know they will clean up. You (the companies) create a h...
The PS3 here was at $AU999 in stores on release, without a game andonly one controller. Most ppl walked out paying around $AU1500 by getting one PS3, two games and an additional controller and a charge kit for the controllers.
Now that is a heft piece of funds for a gaming console ...
I'm wondering when the Lego craze will end actually, we'll have Lego Tomb Raider soon, now how are they going to show Lara in Lego . . hmmm . . the mind boggles.
But as far as the others go, if they are done right, and the Rocksteady one looks damn nice, they should come off really well, hopefully.
Try $120 for the top line ones and $100 for the lower end ones. Of course a good shopper can get them cheaper, but we are simply discussing RRP's . .not sale prices. SO when we hear American's complaining about having to pay $US60 . . we just wonder what they'd think if they were here instead.
Thanks mate, we pay a premium over here, and NZ is actually a tad dearer most of the time. While our RRP prices range from the norm of $AU99.95 - $AU109.95 up to the top end of $119.95 for the Bigger AAA titles and many CE's are around the $AU150 mark - give or take.
That doesn't mean we pay that full RRP, as the competition is strong here, and a good gamer can get games for around the $AU80 mark if the shop-smart. So when you see something like this for a RRP of $AU520, yu sit b...
Point is, many ppl will buy it if it does become available anyhow.
Not to the numbers needed locally, but there are those out there that see any price for a music orientated game well worth it . . . anything for a sudo-band experience. It's certainly NOT something I'd invest that amount into, that's for sure. As the game (Rock Band I can be bought off eBay for far less, even with an inflated ebay price point.
Yeah, and considering Rock Band II sells for $US189.99 from Amazon and GameStop for the full kit, that's a HUGE $US difference in pricing. I doubt many will buy it, unless of course they are those who are compulsive about "having it" . . .
While EA have changed their Development acquisition style with their new COE, they need to get the team at the marketing and sale areas under the same thought process. As it is seen as a whole company rather than separate entities. W...
It's just ridiculous really, Rock Band 2 releases on teh 17th of October in the US and they only release the first one here (last on the world release list btw) on the 9th October, and at the cost of a Xbox 360 Elite . .Even if we gotthe game from the US, imported it gods and all, it would cost LESS to have in shipped here.
And we don't own a major publishing company with a shipping deal . . With the US greenback being almost the same as the Aust dollar, I'd expect to pay a prem...
There's a release date . .!? I think it'll be released when it gets released. It's been moved back a few times now, so it wouldn't surprise me if it was pushed back yet again.
But seriously, not sure when but it would want to live up to the expectations many Sony users have, that's for sure. Looks great . .but then, so have many other games . . . and they have turned out mediocre at best. It'll be interesting to see how it is received.
P{oor didums, she'll have to buyone from Japan, if she can find one that is.
And ppl complain about LE and CE editions of games . . hello, this is a sack.
Not everything is based around the US of A or Europe remember. Each region gets it's releases at different times and often include different items or offers with those releases.
SO while the game might well be the same, the offers, pricing and times are different, so they pertain to the region. So have every right to be up on any news site where any gamer, irrespective of their region, can view and read the information, . .
It would be like us saying Hey, the item u...
So it doesn't look good, or can't I go . . .
How can you "disagree" with such a simple comment . . . and it's not even fanboy bias . . . sometimes I wonder about the mentality of some members of this site, I seriously do.
Next year I'm going to this event . . . come hell or high water. It just looks SO good.
Seeing that they on;ly released the information on Friday/Saturday, I'd say that it's new news mate. And I've had the Atari release schedule each week, and it's always had an undisclosed release date, just a "season" marked in the Xcel sheet.
I'd rather any game be delayed if it means them working longer at it to make sure it's better.
God, we have a huge range of games to choose from already between now and the new year, any more and it's just overkill.
Meaning that any decent game will only get a short play period as ppl dump each one and run to the next, play that, dump it, run to th enext . . . personally I dislike how the current title release push is going. They need to be much more staggered and &q...
The more of I see of this game, the more I'm beginning to like it, and it's not released until Spring '08 mate, not exact date has been set . .so you still have time to walk around the floor waiting for it.
Now you can see the idiot pricing of Rock Band 1 for $AU520 compared to the new 6ogig SKU for just $AU499. At least we get the SKU's now .
