Ha! That was a test to see if anyone here was a true LBP2 fan and you failed! 42/5 is a terrible score for this game. It deserves more like a bajillion/5. At even that is on the low end of the scale.
To be perfectly fair, Nintendo I think does (now) seem to have issues with putting their characters in other games. Remember how Marvel Ultimate Alliance for the Wii was planned to have Samus in it (check youtube for the footage) but Nintendo told the developers to take her out.
It really seems like Namco scored big with letting Link be in Soul Calibur II.
5/5? That is appalling! A game of this caliber demands at least a 7, maybe even an 8 out of 5! I for one would actually give it a 10/5!
Tag mode wasn't even touched upon, which for whatever bizarre reason, is like half the fun of Re:Coded, and I do mean fun. It's addicting and because the counts the time when it's in this mode, my friends and I have racked up like 30 hours from tag mode alone.
Basically, tag mode adds more levels and challenges that can be completed for things to upgrade Sora and Avatars.
It's funny, I read the part that says "Nintendo is forgetting what made the DS sell" and all I thought was, that is exactly what I said about Sony and the PS3, lol.
Anyways, things are more expensive in Japan and even then, I think it's worth it.
Or perhaps Sonic Team is sick and tired of their unpleasable fanbase, I know I am.
@lawliet
In a real basic sense, that is the definition of a game. What is Halo but to kill the enemy and hope they don't kill you.
why?
Those are newer games though...go to any convention and you'll find three or four TVs set up for Brawl and maybe one for the other fighting games.
Alternatively, all three are toys.
Kinda defeats the purpose of making it the definitive Wii shooter doesn't it?
Anything under 6 doesn't exist, that's how the rating system works now.
I beat it and was happy with it and it totally got me thinking of how game storytelling would be better if the playstyle matters philosophy was adopted more often.
I was thinking the same thing.
They mention his first name a ton. In fact, I believe that only the bad guys called him Mr. Freeman. His friends called him Gordon.
Eh, I like this game and I feel that this reviewer is trying to hard to not like the game. I mean, I get that some parts the reviewer found was "boring" but don't talk level design and not explain what's wrong with it. What about it makes it feel dated? I liked Banjo and Kazooie, so why is it that this game reminds you of it a bad thing? Also, the nit-picky little things like having to wait while a game is saving to get control of mickey (thats what that three second wait is...
The 3DS seems to suggest otherwise in terms of where Nintendo is going with technology.
What's trying to hard to be like Mario or Zelda? It has platforming, quests, and puzzles...
The game has an interesting and dynamic way of solving quests, does not hold your hand when it comes to completing quests, and a lot of morality issues comes into play. I agree the camera is crappy.
Isn't the movie going to be an original story and NOT be an adaptation of either game?
I'm still really glad Sonic Adventure 2 stream lined it and put just the three best parts of Sonic Adventure in the game.
