Which is kind of a silly notion.
"Gosh I hate the Wii, so to spite it I'm going to pirate this game for it and play it...that will show em?"
Saying YOU don't like rumble doesn't mean that tactile feedback didn't pave the way for the console shooter.
Heck, with the way HUDs are designed these days, there is too much to keep track of and rumble provides a more immediate and direct response to being hit than any visual cue could do.
Also, keep in mind that the Lynx was a failure. Adding on the most expensive hardware as possible does not make something innovative, it makes it a money si...
I could have sword the original Star Fox was the first true 3D game.
It seems like such a perfect Wii game though....That is odd.
I believe it was implied she had met them before.
Also, considering that Samus basically created Dark Samus and sorta failed to kill it back on Dark Aether (not really her fault), I can see how she blames herself for the hunter's deaths. Considering Other M's story, I think it's clear that Samus does not take the death of friends and loved ones very well.
Also, the hunter's were awesome. I was sad having to kill them, and only I knew them for...
It was surely a new direction for the game's narrative styles, and I think its good because Metroid is one of the only Nintendo games where there is a focus on narrative but the character always remains the same.
Legend of Zelda usually always features a different Link, Fire Emblem usually changes up the cast of characters, Mario and Kirby and pretty unconcerned with narrative, and other characters haven't been around long enough to start focusing on narrative when t...
You cite Zero Punctuation? That's funny. You're a funny guy.
Ok, well if you being a film student allows you to comment on the cinematography then me being a literature student at UCSC allows me to comment on the game's story. The plot itself is probably one of the best in the game industry. It contained character development that was subtle but still present, especially when connecting it to Fusion. It also provided interesting characterizations especially for S...
But you're ignoring what the writer's did. Adam had to die because Fusion made it clear he was dead. His death was not hand waved in there, it was part of the story, it added to the kind of character Adam is, and it ultimately resulted in character development on Samus' part.
The game's writing here served a purpose and it seems the only thing you're whining about is that the writing didn't give every single heroic thing to the player character when t...
Prime is a really good game though, comparing any game to it is bound to disappoint.
Because this piece of filth article made me so incredibly ticked off, my comment exceeded to the character limit...then it did again when I tried making it a blog.

Remaking a 20 year old game makes these guys better than a whole team? What can he do with Metroid? Remake it? Not saying this isn't cool, but I think we should be giving these guys credit where credit is due: the remade an already awesome game and gave it a new, incredible art style.
But making new things is always harder than redoing old.
Well, whether or not you think it was a good idea for Capcom to use bit style graphics for the old school type Megaman games is your opinion. I personally think it was a real gutsy move and really wanted to demonstrate that a good game does not need good graphics and what you call "preying" others might call "giving people what they want".
The real point though is that this demo is a remake of a 20 year old game. What is innovative about it? The art style...
Keep in mind people that the thing that made old school Sonic game's fun was the level design...and from what I've seen, this is pretty much a direct lift of that game....with a radically different art style. I don't see how they can really put Sega to shame when they essentially copied a 20 year old game.
Many games are linear and having multiple branches of a big storyline really doesn't make a game non-linear. In fact, any game that has a story line that won't progress unless the player does something is a linear game.
What some AI developers want for games is a game that writes itself. For example, if the player does nothing the story writes itself to take that into account and work that into the story. It is possible, just really hard to do.
Anyways...
I can't believe a score like this from Game Informer. I believe that GI review to accurate score ratio puts this at like a 15/10.
I recently got into transmedia storytelling since I'm taking a class in it, and so I think its cool if Halo continues to go that route. As long as the films aren't adaptations of the games, or visa-versa.
What the heck are some of you guys talking about? This is the first level of Sonic 2 in a different art style. It's the same level that Sega made almost 20 years ago, how does this put Sega to shame?
For the casual gamer, or the family that wants to get a console, HD probably won't matter to them.
second of all, if they don't own any console and want motion control gaming for like bowling and such, the Wii is $200 and it comes with wii remote, wii motion plus, wii sports resort, and wii sports. Everything really to get started and you just have to buy a few more things to really get set.
The move requires the $300 PS3 plus $100 more for the move...
In terms of the story and the character development. Samus' character development is suppose to have been a direct result of the baby. So we had two earlier games set up her change in character which is why Samus at the beginning of the game, Samus in her flashbacks, and Samus at the end of the game are completely different characters.
I always felt that the scene with Ridley was both supported by the game's narrative (Samus mentions in the first cutscene that Ridley...
Besides your reasoning being that of a 3 year old, the 3DS says high.
But just for fun:
Graphics: Game boy beat Game Gear. Nintendo has a history of accessibility beating out higher hardware. Heck, the entire Nintendo/Sega console war could have been between the cheaper and more accessible hardware and the more expensive, superior hardware.
Game selection: You should try playing Super Mario Galaxy sometime. While I'll understand if 3D plat...
