Is the Wii really the next Atari? Really? Atari, the console that turned hardcore games (back then) like Pac-man into a living nightmare (for those who don't know, look it up, the sounds in that game are the sounds you hear in Hell). Or E.T. a game that was not only horrendously bad but was also produced in a larger quantity than Atari 2600's available (they were expecting people to buy two or three copies per console). So, I'm not sure if the...
If the actual game has the variety of zombies (that move and stuff) then maybe some will be forgiven...but Capcom, as a Wii owner who loves to play it everyday...don't try to sell us crap and call is cupcakes, okay?
Is the Wii growing up? Or are quality games that take longer than a year to make finally being finished?
Seriously guys, c'mon, it wasn't recently that all these developers said "hey guys, the Wii can actually be used to make good games", it was more like, a year or two ago, and while games like Carnival Games is about a few afternoons of programming, the games like Madworld, The Conduit, etc. have been in production for quite sometime.
Frankly, as I see ...
They only play the very first level of a game and say that the game itself is too easy? I guess that also makes Sonic the Hedgehog 2 super easy as well.
I dunno about the rest of you, but at this point if I fail on the first level of a game, I kinda feel ashamed.
Essentially if you drown out all the "I hate moving the controller", this turns out to be a pretty positive preview.
I wonder how much negative connotations you can pull out of this article though:
"We've spent a few hours with Black Knight so far and the game seems to share more in common with Sonic Unleashed than it does with its storybook-themed predecessor, Secret Rings."
Oh no, does it repeatedly make you choose between fast mo...
Oh definitely.
That's what I didn't get with the canceling of Winter. There's a bandwagon that Sega is pretty much sharing with the guys who made No More Heroes, bandwagons were meant to be jumped on.
No...$40 for improved remakes doesn't seem that bad. Most of us would gladly pay $50+ for remakes of games like Resident Evil, where people gladly paid full price for the Wii version even though a cheaper GCN and PS2 version were on the market.
Heck, I never played Pikmin and I'm always willing to give an excuse to play Metroid Prime 1 again.
This review is like a kid saying something is lame because he thinks it will make him cool.
The review offers nothing that people haven't already said. The same two songs that people like to bash while other songs aren't even mentioned, their comparison to other "music" games, which I can only assume is Rock Band and Guitar Hero (which of course, Wii Music is a vastly different game than those two).
It's ashame that the average of this game goes down beca...
When we're on games that are in their third, fourth, and fifth installment of games means we've been in a sea of sequels for a while now.
"What you think is stupid, this is what you should think from now on! Lololololololololololololololo lolol"
Bob had plenty of ways to get around the obstacles Nintendo presented to him but instead he chose to act like a spoiled kid and throw a tantrum. For example, if Bob presented his finished game to an actual company like EA or whatever with whom Nintendo has contracts with, then he might have had a chance at getting his game out. Because from a business point of view, one guy making a game and asking for your publishing stuff seems kind of suspicious and runs a high risk of him just selling it ...
Because of your incompetence and copy and pasting a title down from an article, everyone here believes that the next Zelda is going to be a wii sports clone.
If you have actually read the article, it just mentions that Zelda is in the planning stage, the earliest we'll know about anything might be this years E3, and that the patent discovered earlier this week hints towards scene selection. The word "casual" is not even mentioned in the articles. My God!
I have found that most original IP has trouble selling well. One problem with a game like No More Heroes is that (I think at least) it spread by word of mouth more and since price drops happened kinda fast, the game was just being resold and trading hands a lot.
That's probably why so many developers rely on sequels, because those are usually sure fire success.
Companion Cube FTW!
Of course, but with Nintendo leading the hardcore charge in 2007 with Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, etc. and 2008 showing that the Wii is not slowing down, it takes brave developers like HVS to continue the charge, that and Sega wanting to make the Wii the hardcore console they know it can be (since they are publishing The Conduit, Madworld, a hopefully better Sonic game than unleashed, and House of the Dead). Fortunately they weren't the first developers to realize this which is why w...
If the PS3 was cheaper, then maybe. But if I remember correctly, Killzone failed to really be big on the PS2, so I doubt that it's sequel will really move any consoles, especially since that console is the most expensive console out there.
Weren't there articles out there that said the same thing last year? And that people will abandon the Wii by the middle or end of '08?
Can't wait to hear when the Wii will finally be abandoned (sarcasm).
Star Fox Assault is pretty much Star Fox off the rail with a lot of elements from Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 3 (except better).
Even without the Hedgehog Engine (as on the Wii) studios like Dimps proved that Sonic can still be done with the Sega engine (as evident from the awesome daytime levels on the Wii version).
Sonic and the Black Knight is looking pretty cool, but at this point Sonic Team should just hand over all Sonic games to Dimps.
Not saying 7 is a bad score, but No More Heroes deserves much better than that. Granted, I'll let them keep their cons, but their pros hardly scratch the surface of this amazing game. There is some great level design hidden beneath what would seem like a generic beat em up, and the fact that no two levels are the same keeps the game fresh all the way through. At least the author sorta flushed out the fact that each boss is a crazy in their own unique way and progressively get harder and harde...
