Days Gone is a game that sat in my backlog for quite some time, mainly due to the mixed reviews. I finally started playing it a few weeks ago and just finished it yesterday. I thought it was a fantastic experience. The story, graphics and gameplay were all excellent in my opinion. Frankly, I'm a bit confused by some of the negative critique. It's one of my favorite games of this generation.
@Apocalypse Shadow
I love how every topic that you broach devolves into a Sony vs Microsoft battle. I didn't mention PlayStation or Xbox in my comment yet here you are once again reducing the discussion to a juvenile fanboy imbued dispute. For the record, I've purchased consoles from Sony and MS for the past 4 generations. So you can stop with the "you're just mad because Sony is kicking Microsoft's butt" nonsense. You're wasting your breath.

How is this a "dig"?
He'll always be "that" guy. He can't help himself.
Take solace in the fact that in 20 years he'll still be the same exact person.

"Was just a suggestion, dude. Lol"
So was mine. You can tell by the part where I said "I would even suggest..."
The "come hang out at our store" business model is not a pathway to success.
In order to survive GameStop needs to lower prices, provide more incentive to trade in games, dump the hard-sell sales tactics, reduce the amount of stores by half and focus on online retailing.
I would even suggest that they discontinue the hardware trade in program as profit on used consoles and peripherals flattens out over time.
@nuetralgamer1992
You keep going back to the ONE instance in which one of your predictions came true (or so you claim), as if that proves that you have consistent inside information. The Insomniac acquisition was NOT that hard to see coming and for you to say that no one, excluding yourself, predicted it would happen is both laughable and delusional.
Curiously, you avoid talking about the frequent times that your "scoops" proved to be false. Why...
@neutralgamer1992
I have no problem with you posting your game related premonitions. I just think you should admit that your comments are nothing but wild speculation. You often tell people not to believe rumors as if to suggest that you have some type of insider connection to the gaming industry. Then you follow that up with a dispatch (often incorrect) that is based on nothing but conjecture.
It’s no secret that a $399.00 price point would put Sony or M...
@neutralgamer1992
I'm sure that you've heard about Remedy's new deal with Epic Games. In case you haven't, Remedy will develop at least 2 games which will be published by Epic on multiple platforms.
But you said that Control was their "last game for other platforms before going exclusive" to Sony .So, what happened? Could it be that your comments are simply speculation as opposed to some kind of insider information?

@neutralgamer1992
A few months ago you said "Don't believe the rumors. It (PS5) has better specs than any other console that will Launch in 2020".
That claim turned out to be erroneous so why would anyone believe you now? You post information as fact but it's obviously just wishful thinking. You have no solid evidence to back up your assertions, especially in regard to the next gen price points ($399.99 for PS5 is a guess), so perhaps yo...

"Nothing wrong with healthy competition."
I agree in principle. Competition can foster growth, confidence and teamwork. But the way that certain console "fans" act toward their opposition is anything but healthy.
Also, we're talking about an affinity for a toy, not a team of human beings who are striving for athletic greatness.
Read where?

When people discuss exclusives within the realm of Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo they are invariably referring to games which are available on just one console (out of the major three).You and I both know that talk of exclusivity should omit any reference to PC gaming as it has little to do with the console space. Yet, we consistently see the bogus argument that XBOX lacks console exclusives because their games are available on the PC, which for most is is a co...

"You can normally spot a fan addict when they say silly things like "I don't like Sony exclusives"."
You can also normally spot a fan addict when they say silly things like "Xbox doesn't have any exclusive games".
I saw a photo of the Sistine Chapel...My smart watch must not be doing it justice. Nothing jumped out at me.
Why would you find that funny?
@mysticpizzaman.
Thanks for the level headed reply. If you disagreed with me I would still appreciate the respectful and mature way you chose to respond.
We live in such a a bewildering time. When I was a kid, a video game fan meant that you enjoyed games without much consideration as to who made them or what platform they belonged. I can't ever recall disrespecting another person just because they owned a different console, unless of course i was jea...
@Juusterey
To do what exactly? If it's to examine the situation through the eyes of someone who is capable of observing the situation from a a mature, astute perspective...well yeah, that's what's I'm trying to do. I'm sorry if that offends you.
Striving to attain success in the marketplace does not equate to the support of a fanboy fueled "console war", except perhaps in the minds of immature individuals like yourself. Spencer and other gaming execs realize the advantages of competition and how companies and consumers can benefit from a healthy rivalry. Spencer has gone on record and stated how much he admires corporations such as Sony and Nintendo, while at the same time he does his job and props up his own company. That&...
@Bouzebal
"i am really not interested in 1x, no matter the price"
So, does that mean that you'll stop posting comments on every Xbox Series X article? If you have no interest in it then it would only make sense to avoid any news relevant to the console.
