"I saw 5 SXs on shelves in two stores this weekend,"

Where might these stores be located? I'd like to get my hands on a Series X.

Days Gone is one of my favorite PlayStation exclusives. It's a shame that we may never get a sequel.

Everyone I know, including myself, that has purchased a VR unit was blown away the first time that they experienced a VR game/environment. If I asked any of them if they still use it, they'd all say, "it's sitting in a closet collecting dust". My friend bought his kids an Oculus Quest 2 this past Christmas and they played with it for about a day or two before losing interest.

VR is a cool concept, but I think it's always going to be a niche product......

I was just thinking about purchasing the Mass Effect Trilogy remaster last night. This is a nice surprise!

You're delusional.

I understand that it's an old platform. This is why I suggested that only 25% of PS3 consoles may still be in use. But even if it's only 25%, which is a conservative estimate, that still makes the user base 2-3 times that of the Series X/S. Therefore, there is a high probability that more people are playing on PS3 than Series X/S. Got it?

PlayStation 3 had a user base that was, at one point, about 10 times size of the Xbox Series X/S. So, of course there will be more active players on the Sony platform (despite the relative age of each console). If only 25% of PS3 consoles are still in use then that is more than double the amount of active Series X/S consoles. Why would anyone be surprised by this "revelation". PC has a larger user base than Sony so they are at the top of the list. In other news, water is wet.

"Interesting to see the usual suspects arguing I am biased or in an echo chamber"

After reading some of your comments, it's a forgone conclusion that you're biased. Here are your most recent comments regarding MS/Xbox. There is not one positive statement among them:

"cannot say I have heard any clamour for any of these titles to be added to the BC library."

"Forza 4 was quit...

"I also cannot say I have heard any clamour for any of these titles to be added to the BC library."

That's because you only hear what you want to hear.

"It’s not incredible though."

Yeah, that's why so many companies are struggling or outright failed at implementing a video game streaming service...because it's TOO simple!

Double the frame rate. Faster load times. No downloading huge files. Instant access and updates. Tell me again how this technology isn't revolutionary. If this practice is just "streaming a game to weaker hardware" then please explain, in your own words,...

i didn't say that the original games weren't incredible. They certainly were, for their time.

I'm suggesting that the graphics, audio, gameplay, and controls haven't aged well when compared to modern iterations. You "remember being floored by the visual fidelity" which is great, but I didn't play the original games back then so I don't share your sense of nostalgia. I can only look at them objectively when compared to current open world ga...

I did not play any of the GTA game prior to IV. I do own the titles included in this trilogy, on serval platforms, but I just never got around to them. So, I was excited when I heard that the Rockstar was releasing updated versions, because frankly the older games haven't aged that well (from a technical standpoint). Man, am I disappointed in this effort. It's completely underwhelming and seems like a bare bones "remaster" if you can even call it that. Maybe worth a purchase...

I find it interesting that the same militant Sony cheerleaders who were aghast at the findings of Austin Evans now fully support this person's equally flawed assessment.

The creator of this video is claiming that the CPU in the new PS5 model runs cooler than its predecessor by about 11 degrees Celsius. That's almost 52 degrees Fahrenheit! If you're even the least bit familiar with CPU temperature variations then his measurement seems highly, HIGHLY unlikely. The...

You certainly went off on a tangent there. Instead of low key bashing the current state of the "competition" why don't you try to stick to the topic at hand, OK chief?

I meant to list Resident Evil VII:Biohazard which has a higher score than Village on Metcritic (86%). So, thanks for helping reinforce my point.
