I just can't see the All Access program attaining any type of success. It's too radical of a program to work in the current gaming space. I don't think that anyone want to be committed to a long term contract which includes hardware.
I feel this service as more a test by MS just to gauge interest in such programs. I really don't think that they believe that this current iteration is going to make any type of impact. Perhaps they will tweak the terms and pri...

I though that you were done responding? Actually, I knew you would immediately jump back into this debate. You can't have someone speaking negatively about your favorite toy, can we?
You're entire insubstantial argument relies on the proposition that my issue with an uncharged DS4 didn't happen on the day that I stated. What difference does it really make if it happened on the day I mentioned or some other date? Even if I was lying ab...
@Razzer
The incident with my DS4 controller happened exactly as I stated. The reason why I was so aggravated was because I don't have a lot of time to play games and I missed the opportunity. My wife is out of town on a business trip and I decided to take advantage of the free time so I bought Uncharted: The Lost Legacy (If you don't believe me I can even provide a picture of the game and dated receipt). So, I was dismayed to find out my controller was discharged. E...
@Razzer
"Xbox fanboys are always ready with a good story about the PlayStation. lol" Uh, I was talking about my disappointment with not being able to use my PS4, so where did you come up with that notion?
Do you know what DOES sound like some fanboy rhetoric? This statement you made: "All kinds of scenarios out there where one controller would come out on top over the other." Why did you assume that I was comparing one system's co...
@Profchaos
Yes, a USB extension cable or plug and play charger would have been great. A closet filled to the ceiling with fully charged DS4 controllers would be great too! Perhaps even a butler who's sole purpose is to ensure that my DS4 controller is prepared for use. Now, that would be something. Wouldn't it?
But guess what, I don't have any of those things. If I did then I wouldn't have run into the dilemma of dealing with a discharged ...
@Razzer
How could I have altered my story and still told MY story? It's what happened. What, do you want me to lie just to appease those who are inconceivably upset my modest predicament?
@Razzer
First of all, calm down.
I never said that I was I "blaming my PS4 controller" (as if the concept as blaming an inanimate object is even possible). Obviously, I realize that the responsibility lies on me to charge the DS4, unless of course I can train my dog to do it! I simply said that I was disappointed that I couldn't play the game that I had purchased last night because the controller happened to be discharged. It's a situat...
@Atticus_finch
I don't know about your PS4 controller but my stock one takes at least 2 hours to fully charge (as per the manual). I don't think it's feasible for a 1000 mAh battery to charge at the rate you suggested. A less than 10 minute charge on my 2 year old controller will give me about 20-25 minutes of playtime, if I'm lucky.
@boing1
OK, but I didn't say that my PS4 or controller was new. I said that I bought a new GAME for my PS4 (which is about 2 years old). The next time pay attention before you erroneously call out someone else for their "bollocks" statements.
You know what else is annoying? When you bring home a new PS4 game and you plan on playing it that night. But you realize that the controller is not charged and you can't use it because the cord is too short. So you charge the controller and put the game away until the next time you'll have free time to play, which will probably be in a few weeks.
**My experience last night**
I agree. When I got my 360 I bought a set of 6 rechargeable batteries for about $10 and they lasted for the entire console generation. I did the same for my Xbox One.
How is that a catch? Haven't ever signed up for a subscription service before? They all do this. Netflix. Hulu, Spotify don't automatically cancel the service after you opt in on a promotional offer.
Good call. In their defense this is standard practice in most subscription service contracts..
Isn't it a 2 week trial? If so then you'll have time to sign up for this promotion (ends Aug 31) after your free subscription ends.
Problem solved!
I may be wrong but I think that the promotion is available to those who currently are not subscribed. I canceled my subscription twice, yet I was still able to take advantage of the previous $1 for 1 month offers.
Not one game? How many time did you try?
Was it more than zero?
There is a Game Pass promotion running now for new subscribers: 2 months for $2. That's an unbeatable bargain, although I'm sure that there will be fanboys who say "yeah, still not worth it".
Your parents must be so proud.
Translation: People that pirate (or "preserve" /s) games are upset that the industry is taking steps to stop piracy.
I was not aware of the previous Xbox 360 offer. Thanks for letting me know.
I still think that its much too late in this generation's life cycle for this to take hold. So, maybe they are garnering interest in this type of program to see if its viable on the next iteration of the console. I still don't see the appeal, though.
