"...isn’t saying much considering the console sold horribly."
Microsoft has sold over 51 million Xbox One consoles. You sure have an odd definition of the term "horribly".
"cloud gaming will forever suck"
"Just read up on the topic next time will ya."
Your two statements are diametrically opposed to one another.
I was excited that a COD: Black Ops game was included until I realized that it was number 4. No campaign, no interest.
I've tried a lot of games including fast paced shooters such as Doom and Control. In the early days of the beta I encountered a few issues, most of which involved accessing the service. I haven't had any major issues of late, and certainly none that involve perceptible lag or visual quality. I was skeptical when xCloud was announced but since using it I'm pretty much blown away by the experience. It's interesting because I see the same push-back for game streaming that I did w...
I haven't experienced any lag that would be deemed detrimental to the gameplay.
I've played a handful of games on the Xbox Cloud service such as Doom, Batman Arkham Knight, Control MLB the Show and Forza 7. I didn't encounter any of these issues. The games all played with no perceptible lag. I didn't hear any audio skipping and the resolution/image quality was nearly identical to the console. I'm actually astounded at how well it works. The only problem I saw was that the game crashed back to the main menu screen once or twice, but that was weeks ago duri...
Gamers will never be happy.
I'm SHOCKED! Shocked I tells ya.
Microsoft's purchase program is not a gimmick. They are simply trying to get their console into the hands of their consumers instead of scalpers and resellers..
Its's not as if they are sitting on millions of unsold consoles and desperate to unload them. The reality is that they can't produce enough units to satisfy the demand.
@ DogJosha
Commercially produced CDs do not go bad within 10 years. The Library of Congress conducted a study that showed the lifespan of CDs and CD-ROMs to be at least 25 years and that figure could easily double if the media is stored properly. I have hundreds of CDs from the 80s and they all still work.
Interestingly, writable CD discs actually have a longer shelf life than commercial discs. Some claim up to 100 years, but there is no way to prove it, ...

"monitor tire wear..."
Yeah, that's what I want out of a video game. /s
What have they got in store for next month, Vehicle Inspection Sticker: The Game?
I can't believe that we are at the point at which a person has to literally count pixels in order to discern the difference in graphic fidelity between consoles.
*Old Man Rant* In my day there was often a noticeable disparity between third party games on competing consoles. I'm referring to gaming generations up to and including the original Xbox and PS2 in which there was sometimes a distinct discrepancy in image quality. The readily apparent advantage that ColecoV...
"Facts are this, in 10 years' VR will be an integral part of almost everything in society, and you can take that to the bank"
This comment will not age well.
"Microsoft saw an overall revenue increase of 17 percent to $43.1 billion, gaming revenue alone grew more than 50 percent to $5 billion in 2020 with the success of Xbox Game Pass and other ventures" -- Microsoft FY21 Q2 Earnings Release Report
Yeah, Microsoft's Xbox division is REALLY struggling. How will they ever survive if their console remains in third place? /s
It's almost impossible to say something positive about a console, particularly Xbox, without someone on N4G replying in a derogatory defensive manner.
I only played a few hours of Prey. I wasn't really feeling it. Do you think it's worth my time to revisit the game?
That's literally the only problem that I find with GamePass. There are too many games that I won't get to play due to time constraints
Well said.

"people like you will literally say anything to defend xbox'
And people like you will say anything to disparage Xbox. Look at the speculative nonsense that you wrote. You sound like a paranoid, irrational nut. It would be advantageous if you lead your arguments with actual facts instead of emotionally charged drivel. Do yourself a favor, the next time that you're going to spout off with wild accusations and assumptions, do som...
You represent the worst part of gaming culture.
