The report suggests that Microsoft will have an entirely new team of writers handling the stories, so hopefully they can come up with some strong ideas.
The fact that we can openly debate and criticize politics, racism and other topics but not go near religion has always baffled. Why are we not allowed to discuss it, both in it positive and negative forms? Why is this topic out of bounds? We're supposed to be an evolved species, and yet everyone gets jumpy around religion for no truly justifiable reason.
I understand why the people asked for a refund. It's up to them whether they can go through it or not. To me, perso...
The tone of this review and the actual score awarded feel so utterly at odds with each other!
Still, the DLC seems to be much as I suspected in terms of it not really altering the core gameplay, except in a few small ways, which is a bit of a shame. With a new character introduced they had plenty of room to play. My guess is, though, that they chose to keep things similiar for ease of design, and also possibly to help link these characters to the Outsider.
The Witcher is a continous storyline, but Projekt did mention, if memory serves, that they were also designing Witcher 3 so that new players could jump in and not feel lost.
However, since all three games do have an overarching story to a degree, you'll get the most of the third game if you've played the past two. If nothing else I'd highly recommend getting the second game as you can pick it up on the cheap.
And let's not forget that in the end the Vox Populi were shown to be no better than the founders. It was an examination of not just racism, but humanity as a whole and how terrible we can be.
Was racism needed for the story? No, of course not. The writers could have written something else entirely, but for this story, for this game, it was.
I absolutely agree that violence is a central theme in Infinite, and therefore violent combat was always going to be a big part of the game.
That doesn't stop me from feeling that it was still overdone, though. It was waves and waves of enemies, to the point that I felt like I was playing Call of Duty. A few sections where stealth or diversionary tactics could have been employed would have, I feel, helped break things up a little.
In the end I found comba...
No, I think it is very much something other games can empathise with. I do game reviews and struggle to keep up with the flow of awesome games as well!
I think the problem here is that it's not really a strong basis for an interesting article. It didn't have much of a point,if you see where I'm coming from. I didn't get to the end of it with a new view on the subject or anything like that, I just read somebody taking about things I know: there's loads of g...
I really am quite looking forward to this! Board games are bloody pricey these days, but there's come great ones out there.
Shame it's still around 5-months from release.
What's scarier is that we can send people to the moon, create devastating weapons, see far into the reaches of space and communicate vast amounts of information across the planet in a mere second, yet we still can't make decent DVD cases.
Seriously, why don't all companies use the nice and easy push-button?
As for Steelbooks. God damn they're so pretty, but I'm always scared to put my discs back in them in case I never get them out intact ...
The game itself isn't really an indication of how good the DLC is going to be, though. It's a lot of money to shell out when you're not sure what you're getting for your cash.
I......I honestly didn't think the Internet could actually get any lower than it already was.
I don't know whether to laugh or cry!
Garrus Vakarian - the myth, the legend, the badass. Nuff' said.
I'd certainly say so. I would expect that it has been developed with the current generation in mind, because that's where the biggest base of consumers will be, with a next-gen port due to hit the PS4 and NextBox.
As for Battlefield 4 itself, I have to admit I'm sort of struggling to get excited at the prospect. Although it was back in 2011, it feels like just yesterday I was playing BF4 on launch day. It still feels fresh in my mind.
A part of me...
Just thought I'd copy and past the comment I made on the website in response to a user in the hopes that it might spark an interesting discussion. Love to hear your thoughts, boys and gals!
"To me a review is always based upon the product handed to the reviewer at time. While the reviewer can mention that the flaws within the game can be patched, the reviewer cannot rely on fixes that may or may not even arrive, and so their opinion must be formed on what is in front...
I couldn't say it ever goes into the realm of full horror, but Tomb Raider, in my view, creates more atmosphere and tension that most films manage these days. The key to a good horror film is the atmosphere, and that sense that something is going to happen, but you just don't know when - tension.
There were quite a few moments in Tomb Raider when I was crawling through blood and bits of bodies, or sneaking through a stormy night where I felt tense. It does creepier be...
I certainly wouldn't say it invoked any horror in me, but I do admit that I does atmosphere and tension better than most horror films these days do, because they tend to forget that it's the atmosphere and tension that really makes a good horror film.
There were a couple of moments creeping through tunnels and the like that had me feeling tense. Twas good :D
I honestly don't see it as shoddy at all. They reported a story based upon a source and nothing more, which is perfectly legitimate journalism.
Note in the article it does say, "alleged cancellation," rather than stating that what their source was fact.
However, I do agree that Videogamer should have been more careful about verifying who their source was. On the other hand, the source himself/herself may have been perfectly legitimate, and simp...
Oh, Yahtzee, you old dog. Your videos help thousands, nay, milllions, of people around the world get through the week.
Anyway, I've not gotten around to Crysis 3 yet. Yes, Yahtzee beat the snot out of it with a large stick, but I quite enjoyed Crysis 2 and do have a fondness for bows at the moment, so it might be worth a blast.
Speaking of which, with all these bloodys bows going around at the moment is anyone else getting a hankering for a Robin Hood gam...
I suppose from a story-telling perspective it must be tough to come up with reasons for why people are engaging in 2d combat every five-seconds, using moves that literally break bones yet seemingly heal instantly.
Mortal Kombat 9 did it pretty well, Still daft at points, like how characters would beat the snot out of each other for the stupidest reasons, but it was a fun kind of daft! Twas most entertaining.
It's worth mentioning that you can't modify weapons until you hit an EGO rating of 100. I've encountered a lot of people in the game frustrating that they can't modify their weapons because the game, as far as I'm aware, though I may have missed it, doesn't explain this.
It baffled me at first :D
