I'm at platinum and ready to go. Plus I have cards waiting to be used in July. They should get me halfway home for next year. And with all of the awesome 3DS stuff coming out in the next year or so, the path to my third consecutive platinum status seems like an easy one.
Hopefully the reward/s this year is better than last year's.
I hope Atlus can remain third party. Regardless of what side you're on, Atlus themselves have a great relationship with both Sony and Nintendo. It would be a shame for them to get picked up by one of the two, meaning the fanbase of the losing bidder loses out on game sequels and such on their platform. That's not to mention that Atlus would lose the ability to publish. They've localized games that the big guys probably wouldn't bite on.
So I hope the resoluti...
Just got back from Gamestop with a PS4 preorder receipt in hand. I got lucky. My store got a third round of preorders, something other stores in the area didn't get.
Oh, and at my store, there's a 6:1 advantage for PS4 over X1 in terms of preorders. 36-6 to be exact. So this news doesn't really surprise me. PS4 is poised to dominate.
This disappointed me. I'm a fan of the 3D Land type of game, but this really could have waited. I wanted something on a much larger scale than this. They really could have turned heads. It looks good, but at the same time it's definitely a huge missed opportunity.
Perfect opportunity for Nintendo to cash in. Release Red/Blue to the VC right in the fever pitch of the X/Y hype. It's the perfect opportunity for them to start putting the pokemon games on VC.
Of course, it's Nintendo, so we'll probably see them in 2018 on the Wii U eshop lol.
Sony may have just checkmated Microsoft.
The more powerful, gamer focused machine is $100 cheaper than the XB1.
Sony just took the opening Microsoft gave them and popped them in the face big time.
Awesome.
Wow, they finally announced it. Congrats to fans of the series. It's one of those series I've never really played, but I'm certainly interested.
Same here. Loved Pierce as Bond. All of the Bond actors have been at least decent, but I liked Brosnan the best.
I'll be playing both of them for the first time. I started with Seasons. I like it so far. I like that they threw some new mechanics and puzzles into the dungeons. They're small things, but it makes things feel fresh. The seasons mechanic can get kind of annoying, though. I feel that sometimes it just needlessly makes things more complicated. Overall, though, I'm enjoying it. I like Link's Awakening better at this point, but this is pretty good too.
They did a pretty good job with the Mario Strikers series, and Luigi's mansion has gotten pretty solid reviews. They seem to be a very reliable outsource option for Nintendo.
Wind Waker is one of my favorite Zelda games. Easily within the top 3. I loved the story. The pace to it was great, and I cared about everything that happened. I'm an OoT loyalist, but in terms of story this came a hell of a lot closer than I gave it credit for in terms of how invested I was in the story. So the story kind of took me off guard.
More than that, though, I loved the characters and the game's overall personality. I love that they gave Zelda an actual pers...
Just downloaded both of the Oracle games. I was hoping Nintendo would do a 2 for 10 deal, and that's exactly what they did. So I'm happy. It's only $2, but after tax I have $9 left in my eshop wallet instead of ~$6-7. That opens up more possibilities on the eshop.
This game is so addicting. You could spend hours and hours just using reeking boxes to build supports between the characters. The support system is amazing IMO. It adds tension to the battles because you really grow attached the characters.
Where I'm at, the story is okay. The anime style cut scenes are gorgeous.
Overall, this is a must own game for the 3DS. I know this isn't the best description, but I didn't want to rant. Maybe I'll do a rev...
Aside from the GoW thing, I've always appreciated Sessler's work both on G4 and what he's doing now.
I'll never forget the time where he owned Jack Thompson on AOTS. He destroyed him. I'll never know why Thompson agreed to go on that particular network lol.
The 343 thing was a huge tease for fans of the actual games. I felt sorry for fans of the Halo games when I saw that happen.
Have more than enough money on my 3DS waiting patiently to be spent on these two games. These 2 games are among the few Zelda games I haven't played. I briefly tried emulation, but it just wasn't the same as playing on an actual portable system. So I'll be scooping these up right on the 30th.
Great read.
I've thought of this at times, too. The lukewarm launches of the 3DS, Vita, and Wii U are a little worrying. There wasn't a lot of enthusiasm that we've seen in the previous generation. I hope the PS4 and NextBox can make people excited again. This gen lasted a little too long IMO.
Holy crap. That's a lot faster than I expected. Yet another thing I'm getting for the 3DS this fall.
3DS game screenshots always seem to grossly under represent the game that's being shown. The games in question look a lot better on an actual 3DS.
