Definitely noticed on PS3 (it has been there since the beta) when iron sighting. Sensitivity is too high and I end up over-shooting my target.
@TheOneYouHate
I guess you weren't very good at building PCs if somehow your parts decrease 85% in value 3 months later.
Could be good, but could be a lot better if there was more fleshed out objectives than just kill everything. I for one am glad there is an end to the match and not just unlimited waves.
shipped != sales though. Would be more interesting to see how many sold. Count me in as one of those sales though, almost finished the game :)
The sad thing is that they'll think "Well I guess people don't like towns and open ended RPGs after all!" and no one will be around to say "No, it's just a shit game".
You can't measure anticipation.
You realize they reduce graphical quality when you use 3d/splitscreen right? So no, it isn't a trade-off until you actually use the features.
EDIT: looks like gamingdroid beat me to it.
Says a bunch of random people who don't understand technology. Glad your opinions are in the minority
Wow. Sounds like all you commenters are mad. People asked his opinion about the consoles and he answered. If you think the PS3 has no faults, then you know nothing about hardware.
All of you haters have no idea what you're talking about. Sounds like UMAD
One day you will grow up and develop common sense.
Hey look! You found some bugs! Congratulations.
Also if you spend all your time staring at objects to check their texture resolution, you should give up on gaming.
Has it ever occurred to you that PS3 games look better because of the developers, and not entirely because of the hardware? Microsoft has barely any first party developers, and none of them are really known for their engines, whereas Sony has Naughty Dog and Guerrilla.
Also, yes, Santa Monica.
Cry more. Rage was awesome, id Tech 5 works great, and Carmack knows his shit.
It really is unbelievable how much people are crying about a stupid bug. Welcome to game development, things don't always go smoothly.
@motorola
Yep. Guy gives us the shooter genre, makes awesome engine technology that has powered many games, continues to innovate with engine technology and people fling their shit at him when he says something they don't l...
You don't understand how drivers work, so no, you're wrong.
Horseshit. Shooters can be great and have terrible stories. It's a game, not a book, not a movie, a game.
This doesn't mean I don't enjoy a great story - but I don't think its required for a game to be good.
Hope you have a fast connection - 21GB
At least if you plan on playing when it's unlocked.
I've been skeptical about IGN's reviews for some time now, and that Gears 3 review reinforced that opinion even more so. But after reading the Rage review, I felt it was pretty honest and accurate - and 8.5 is a great score. I can't wait!
PS3 doesn't have enough VRAM to support higher resolution textures than PC (and neither does 360). 256MB for PS3, vs on average probably 1GB on PC. 8GB install = uncompressed textures, animation, meshes, etc. The game takes multiple discs on 360 so it is understandable that they'd want to have such a large install. It means they can stream textures quickly and reduce pop-in, and stream other assets if their engine supports it.
I don't really know why people expect...
Because in 2011, developers discovered hardware in 6 year old consoles that no one had previously known about, and magically 60fps came to be.
idiot
The funny thing about used digital media is that it's quality doesn't change over time. Used cars have more mileage and are more prone to mechanical issues. Bikes are the same. A game doesn't age - it doesn't play worse, the graphics don't deteriorate, it's exactly the same for you as it was for the previous owners. So comparing it to cars and bikes makes no sense.
