Anyone else starting to notice a trend with PlayStation games? Horizon Zero Dawn, Gravity Rush 1&2, The Last of Us 1&2, Uncharted Lost Legacy, Hellblade, Infamous First Light, etc. What do these all have in common? They all have strong female protagonists. I really don't think this is a coincidence. I think Sony has caught onto something here and might be a reason why the PlayStation Platform has such broad appeal.
Dualshock 4 battery life! I'm pissed this still hasn't been improved.
Seeing the platform levels last E3 is what killed my hype.
Oh please GOD be true! I love the Killzone series! Personally I'd be in favor of a hard re boot of the entire series with a much bigger focus on character development and narrative.
Well it's not kids making this a multi billion dollar industry so yeah, I'd say they should.
But how many of those IP's are truly worth rebooting? Of that entire list, I could maybe see Mech Assault or Crimson Skies but Blinx? Seriously? That game sucked balls on the OG Xbox. Rallisport was good but does Xbox really need another racing game at this point? The truth is Xbox does not have the rich legacy of exclusives that Sony and Nintendo does. Rather than trying to polish past turds, MS should focus on creating new franchises.
I think MS needs to focus o...
Give it time, it'll get there. Even PS4 wasn't setting the world on fire with exclusives the first couple of years.
Why is it every time this guy opens his mouth a new article must be written about it? You don't see 10 articles a day about something Shawn Layden says.
Whatever. Just give me Zelda and Mario Kart LOL!
I just always assumed it was.
Novel but ultimately I'd never chose this model over the standard black one.
What he's saying is the gap is narrowing. Extrapolate that over the next 20 years and it's easy to assume at some point the lines will blur. Now granted, some real breakthroughs will need to be made in ARM architecture and other things like heat dissipation, battery life, etc. But considering how far it's come up to this point, I'm pretty confident that will happen.
Not sure about catching up with high end PC's but they do say by 2018 mobile phones will be performing at PS4 level. My current phone already outperforms my PS3/360.
Someone benchmarked the Switch supposedly. Based on the benchmark, the performance is roughly 2X the Wii U in handheld mode and 3X Wii U when docked. Not bad at all considering the hybrid nature of the machine.
DriveClub - 30fps - great game!
Destiny - 30fps - great game!
Uncharted 4 - 30 fps - great game!

DarkSouls 3 - 30fps - great game!
There are countless examples of games that run at 30fps that are terrific.
I'm waiting until Super Mario Odessy comes out
LOL learn reading comprehension you stooge! I never said graphics were superior to gameplay. I said high frame rate and great gameplay were not synonymous. Sorry if I'm using too many big words for you. Here, let me put it another way so your 4th grade education will understand it. 60fps does not automatically = great gameplay just like 30fps does not automatically = bad gameplay. Your original post ensenuated that a game MUST be 60fps to have good mechanics, which is bullshit misi...
You should have higher standards and demand more from your platform provider.
LMAO!
You forgot to mention Horizon Zero Dawn for this month as well! :-D
Also don't forget Wipeout Omega Collection!! I cannot wait to play those games again! Also Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom looks absolutely beautiful!
