Nonsense! The Switch is a hand held device and you simply cannot compare it to PS4 and X1. Mobile devices such as laptops, tablets, phones, etc are simply on a different tech path than non mobile devices because anytime you shrink tech down, it becomes more expensive. Not to mention the crazy drain on battery life it would have if made it as powerful as PS4/X1. It would be like criticizing the Vita for being less powerful than the PS3 and X360.
Ultimately does it really matter? The difference between a natively rendered 4K image and a checkerboard rendered 4K image is negligible. I'm personally much more interested in the Pro's power being used for better frame rates, better textures, better lighting, better AI, etc. I'd rather have checkerboard rendering and the ability for all of those things to be implemented than native 4K rendering and none of those things be implemented.
Gravity Rush 2, NiOh, Nier Automata, Horizon Zero Dawn, and its only February! Man the PS4 is a freaking juggernaut! Plus we still have games coming like Persona 5, Ni No Kuni 2, GT Sport, etc.

Agreed. They did a pretty good job of masking this with the 360 because of all of the third party marketing deals that they had along with timed exclusive content. However when you really look at it closely there's very little in terms of first-party that Microsoft has to offer outside of Killer Instinct, Halo, Gears, and Forza. If they do this I will NOT support it or Switch! The thing that makes Switch appealing to me is the fact that ALL of Nintendo studios only have to support one platform instead of two, which means a much faster turnaround on game releases.

It's funny you posted that because I was just getting ready to come back and edit my post to include Mark Cerny. The PS4 is a tremendous console. I cannot wait to see what they design for the PS5.
I think a lot of credit needs to go to Kaz Harai and his staff for doing such a remarkable job of turning Sony around. He made the tough choices, cut the dead weight where necessary, and now they're in the black again. I knew Sony made the right choice when they appointed Kaz CEO. The way he handled the PS3 fiasco and turned that "sow's ear" into a silk purse was no easy task.
Seeing both a new 3D Mario and a new 3D Sonic releasing in the same time frame tickles my jimmies!
