Agreed. IGN has the dumbest grade scale of any of the major publications.
"you can't compare today's price of a PS4 to new hardware"
You can when that "new" hardware is vastly weaker than hardware that's been on the market for nearly 4 years.
I agree and I thought IGN's review summed it up perfectly. It's too bulky to be a true portable device and it's too far behind the power curve to be a home console. It's a jack of all trades/master of none device.
I'd like to see Killzone get a hard reboot. I love the universe, the imagery, and core concept behind it. I just dont like the writing and character development. If they could pour the same level of writing into Killzone that they did for Horizon, hell yeah bring it on! Oh and make it 60fps finally. Games like Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2, Doom, COD IW, Halo 5, etc have proven that you can make smooth 60fps first person shooters without sacrificing graphics. Those games are beautiful!...
Why have reviews for this game been trickling in at such an "IV drip" pace? Scores have been really good but damn, its been like one new review every 3 days.
LOL!!! Why would I buy this when I can get a raspberry pi for 40.00 and play all the retro games I want?
@darthv72
True but a price drop brings headlines. It focuses the attention on PS4 and away from Nintendo. Kind of the same way MS announced Xbox Game Pass on the same day Horizon Zero Dawn launched.
Resident Evil was a game changer because it was the very first time when I felt like gaming could be a massive mainstream form of entertainment. Of course to look at that game now it's laughable but back then, we had never seen anything like that before. It was the first time a game actually "scared" me like a horror movie could. That's an emotion that I had NEVER experienced from playing a videogame before. Then Konami set the bar even higher with Silent Hill!
Good lord and it's a whopping 8mb!
I like seeing all 3 logos side by side like that. Kinda cool!
When 4K TV's become the industry standard.
Two words...Resident Evil! Been a loyal PlayStation guy ever since!
No analogue triggers means it's definitely not the best.
Finally a down to earth review.
"but let's put things into the correct perspective-"
I'm still waiting for you to do that.
"Btw Naomi is gorgeous watching her walk down the street playing the Switch "
She's pretty much the only reason I pay attention to IGN, LOL!
LOL no they're not. They don't care. There's too many amazing games that have come and will continue to come for them to.
Don't sound like an idiot. BOTH games are awesome. Why can't we just leave it at that?
And with you Xbots it used to be about "secret sauce" and "power of the cloud". Don't be hypocritical.
1.) Please don't make us wait 3-4 years to add all the features to PS5 that's already in PS4. That's been the most frustrating thing for me going from PS3 to PS4. In fact, I honestly wouldn't mind if the UI in the PS5 remain completely unchanged from the PS4 (except for the store. That needs an overhaul)
2.) Full backwards compatibility with PS4 games (should be a no brainer)
3.) Keep the Dualshock 4 as is, only add a better battery a...
