Seriously at this point if you say you don't like PS4 you might as well say you don't like videogames.
I agree that is an excellent attachment rate and 7 mill is certainly nothing to sneeze at. But by comparison, Mk on Wii sold 37 million copies. So relatively speaking, very few people have played MK8.
What the author doesn't understand is in the grand scheme of things, very few people bought and played MK8. I am totally in favor of this release because A.) It's a great game that more people should play and B.) There's no telling when we'll see MK9 so this is a great "hold over" until then.
Horizon. Because it's on a platform I already own.

Graphics were never this game's problem. It was everything else.
I can't be the only one underwhelmed by this game can I? Maybe I'm just spoiled after seeing so much footage of Horizon and Zelda but ME Andromeda looks rather generic to me.

You really don't know what you're talking about. Sony didn't "moneyhat" console exclusivity of SFV to keep it off of Xbox like what MS did with Rise of the Tomb Raider. Sony co-funded development of the game. Without Sony's financial backing, the game wouldn't have existed at all. If you don't want to buy a PS4 to play it, play it on PC . That's where all your damn Xbox games are going anyway.
You didn't specify that though. You were defending Switch 's lineup by suggesting PS4/X1's was comparably bad. Eventhough it really wasn't.

Yeah but that's not the whole story. Yes PS4 had Knack and Killzone but it also had a new Assassins Creed, a new Battlefield, a new Need For Speed, and a new Call of Duty at launch. Switch will have none of those.
Look at the 3DS business model. It has PLENTY of 3rd party support, just not a ton of Western/Euro 3rd party support. I think the Switch will be a similar situation. We'll see tons of Japanese and indie support but not a ton of Western/Euro support.
But it really doesn't need them. The vocal minority does not represent the rest of the PS4 userbase. PS4 has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that BC is not that important to consumers. If it were, the X1 would be selling more. If people are that pre-occupied with wanting to play old stuff, either that platform's current library sucks or those people are on the wrong platform.
Agreed. I didn't buy PS4 to be a retro machine. I bought it to play new games. BC is a nice added bonus but I'm certainly not sitting around wringing my hands over not having it. If you care that much about retro gaming, go buy a Rasberry Pi and play all the old stuff you want.
Too many awesome looking new games coming out to care.
I'm 100% digital now so it doesn't matter to me.
