Signed up. I probably won't get in. I never do. :-(
Dude, it's a hunk of cheap plastic. Not some brilliant feat of engineering that went into its design.

I love the world. I just wish I could interact with it more. The Witcher 3 spoiled me in this regard. You can go into virtually every building in Witcher 3. You can submerge and explore under water. You can interact with more random objects too. Horizon is way more restrictive in this regard.
@DanteVFenris666
I know they never promised. I'm just suggesting what would help make the game better.
You have to admit, co-op would really elevate the enjoyment of this game. Being able to explore with friends would be awesome.
Not until players can actually interact with one another in this game. The isolation of this game is its biggest detriment because survival and exploration alone aren't enough to keep it interesting. The planets aren't diverse/interesting enough. The wildlife isn't diverse/interesting enough. The bases aren't diverse/interesting enough. The game is a billion miles wide and only an inch deep.
It's still not a fun game. It's a billion miles wide and an inch deep. Hello Games should've focused on a smaller universe but richer/deeper in content. That would have put their procedural engine to better use.
When will the patch to make the game fun come out? :-P
"Can your phone play games like Breath of the Wild? Not it cannot and that is where Switch wins"
@Veneno
That wasn't the point I was trying to make. My phone can't play ANY of the home console games that I play and I don't expect it to. My point was, the design of the Switch is such that it excels as neither a portable device, nor a home console. To me, for something to truly be portable it needs to fit at least in a jacket pocket...
For the most part I agree with your post. I didn't think about comparing dialogue but you're right. It's definitely better in TW3. I agree 100% with you on TW3 being too dense. Generally most videogames are reductionary, which is to say the more of it you complete, the less there is in front of you to accomplish. TW3 felt the opposite to me. The game felt like it actually got bigger, the more of it I completed. After a while it felt way too overwhelming and ultimately I ne...
Combat mechanics are much better in Horizon. I also like Aloy as a character much more than I did Geralt. I also think the overall story in Horizon is more interesting. However Horizon's world is much more constrained than Witcher 3's. I can't walk into every home or interact with as many things as I can in Witcher 3. I can't submerge in Horizon and explore what's under the water.
What's next? "Phil Spencer On His Trip from the Bathroom?" I've never seen the gaming media cover a single person in my life. You never see any Shawn Layden articles about what he's up to. Even Reggie Fils Aime doesn't seem to get as much headline attention.

Oh and make it run quieter! I'm all for sleek design but not at the expense of function. The X1 may look like an 80's VCR but it runs whisper quiet. I want PS5 to run quieter than PS4 does.
"...you forget that the switch can be played on the TV or the go."
@Veneno
The Switch is not that terribly portable. Certainly not on the same level as the 3DS or a phone. It's pretty bulky and I don't carry backpacks. Besides, for many of us the portability feature is not much of a consolation. We'd rather have a more powerful console. Zelda looks great but I'd rather be able to play it on a machine that can run it at 60fps or...
Which is stupid because they're on completely different platforms. Switch/Wii U owners will play Zelda and PS4 owners will play Horizon. There's plenty of room for both games to have their fair share of hype.
