Sometimes, I really wonder about people who sit and stew about stuff like this.

@Moldybread

I'm a big supporter of the Windows store Cross buy initiative, it's really great not having to make a choice between my PC friends list and my console based one to decide where I'm going to play the game. What I'm not okay with is things like Infinite Warfare only being connected to other Windows Store buyers of the game, essentially segregating those players no consumer wins in that situation. Not to mention it defeats a huge advantage the Windo...

My god dude.

If you're going to spend thousands on a machine you always go with the HEDT lineup. Not for the processor specifically, but for the PCI E lanes 44 on X299 vs 24 on Z270. What do those lanes allow? Much better scalability with either 2 card or multi card SLI and allowing more bandwidth for storage. All of those things matter, Z270 is the mainstream option not the only option.

"Indeed, it should be noted that of the 198 exclusive games listed, only 64 of them are available worldwide and available in English."

Sony has never supported the machine is why, I'm happy you have enough Indies that it all feels worthwhile to you but for me it's a pretty colossal let down. To go from showing MGS4 running on it, to Unit 13 kinda took a lot of wind out of their sails.

For pirated games and if you were Japanese monster hunter.

Because a large portion of those PSP's weren't purchased for pirate software.

Some of you guys are so dramatic it's cringey. Does this kind of stuff keep you up at night or something? Do you spend your day thinking about console life cycles?

Roll back there fella, so if someone chooses to use or owns an Xbox they're a laughing stock? 12 year olds today are getting INTENSE. There is something really wrong with any one of us if you think a persons choice in console is a reason for them to be ridiculed. Like that's some deep seated psychological stuff, seek help.

Sony was way in control at the end of the PS2, Xbox and Gamecube combined didn't even add up to half the PS2. Yet from 2005-2008 it was nothi...

Sony had nothing to do with the development or publishing of Persona 5. I can also guarantee you that it's on the PS3 because they started work on that game before Catherine even came out, the idea that Sony had some hand in Persona 5 is insane. Ever wonder why Persona 5 has zero Pro Support?

Ryzen is a perfectly fine alternative to the i5/i7's.

X299 is absolutely for gaming, it may not be their main angle with the HEDT lineup but you're insane if you don't think gaming factors in there. Quad channel memory and enough PCI E lanes to support actual SLI/Crossfire (X16 on both cards not x8).

Vega will perform just fine in a Intel based system. They aren't going to alienate potential buyers because they have an Intel system. AMD ca...

This is the worskstation card, not the RX Vega releasing at the end of the month, When I say a "winner" I mean it's a viable alternative to the Nvidia cards based on price, heat and energy use. They don't have to beat Nvidia outright performance wise to be successful, we've already seen that with Polaris and the 480. That's why price matters, if the price of the RX Vega is sandwiched in between the 1070/1080 but performs like a 1080? They're going to sell those c...

If the gaming variant sits around the 1080 but below the 1080 TI is still perfectly fine. At that point it all depends on the price of the cards, if they're priced competitively around the price of the 1080 the RX Vega will be a winner.

Also just so everyone knows, being a "fan" of one hardware vendor over another is just the most ridiculous crap. Go with the hardware that fits your budget and does what you want it to do not because something says Intel, Nvidi...

144hz in things like Titanfall 2/Battlefield 1 look amazing. Achieving 60+ fps in modern games isn't very hard if you're playing at a res lower than 4k.

3185d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

At 1080p the Pro or XBox One X could definitely out run 60fps. But with no TV's available that actually take more than a 60hz signal it's all kind of moot.

3185d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

It's frame interpolation, the issue with TV's offering 120hz+ was that no input standard would feed the TV at more than 60hz. So for gaming it was always a feature that just introduced a boatload of input lag, and didn't improve the game. I have a 144hz 1080p monitor and to get the 144hz out of the monitor I have to use DVI-D if I had opted for the HDMI ports I would be locked to 60hz as whatever version of HDMI the monitor is using (Probably HDMI 1.4) doesn't have the bandwid...
