The Etrian Odyssey games are HARD. HARD HARD HARD. Not bad at all, but you're going to deal with a LOT of frustration with those titles. Same with The Dark Spire.

Right on. Shadow Hearts was the only one I was happy to see they mentioned. However, it does say "that every gamer should play". Every gamer will NOT like SMT: Nocturne. It's my favorite game (ever), but it's punishing difficulty and overall weirdness won't appeal to everyone (or many people at all, really).
Also I miss Suikdoen II, the 150 bucks I got for it on ebay wasn't worth it :(
God I love Altus spoils. About half of everything they release has extra stuff in it, who else will do that for you? They're so into fan service it's almost hard to believe they're real.
No no no, you misunderstand. I ACTUALLY hope it's better than the first one. I own a 360, I'd like to pick it up if it's any good. I'm just hoping they improve upon the first, because it wasn't good.
I bought a 360 for Star Ocean 4, Lost Odyssey, Fable 2, and Blue Dragon. None of those games are on PC. Given, I'm not sure if those games really justified my purchase, but the 360 DOES have exclusives that some people actually do want.
I hope it's better than the first Magna Carta. That game was horrible.

Seriously, it's no exaggeration to say 3 a month thanks to that company. I've gotten 2 in June already (see: Knights in the Nightmare and Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor). I forget what month Steal Princess came out (might have been June), and the new Steambot Chronicles game is coming out the 30th. The DS is not even close to hurting for rpgs, and if that's not great enough, they're QUALITY ones too!

^I agree with this guy. I'm going to GUESS it's the next Mana game, simply because the SaGa games were, well, pretty bad and nothing to get excited about (though if they do the battle system similar to the old Super Famicon games, it could be okay). Grandia 4 is not out of the question, either (and would be pretty exciting).
It wasn't THAT bad, and 3 was pretty mediocre too. The first one is already on the store and 3-5 are PS2 games, so it makes sense.
I kind of know how you feel. Kind of. I bought The After Years, and I am enjoying it. FFIV was also my first FF, so I was pretty excited to get to play after the story. Fact is, the gameplay IS dated, and feels it. FFVII also has dated gameplay, but it's not AS dated. I still consider IV to be the overall better game, but there really is something special about VII, and it's really no surprise that it's getting all the publicity.

ToV wasn't even good, PS3 only owners should hope they shouldn't have the misfortune. Unless you never played a Tales game, that is. It wouldn't have been so bad if I didn't feel like I had already played that game 6 times before. Just add it to your list of jrpgs that any smart 360 owner sold after a few hours of gameplay.

Why is this game so hard to get a hold of? It's the first game I have EVER tried to get at my local Gamestop and they DIDN'T have it. They didn't even have a record of the game existing! I ordered it from the website, but I really hate paying shipping fees :(

I'm not entirely certain that's possible since it was Sega Saturn game, but I would like to see it. I borrowed my friend's Saturn back in the day just to play it, and it's still one of my all time favorite rpgs.

I couldn't agree more. I want Shin Megami Tensei 4. I'm tired of Persona. I spent the last 3 years playing Persona games, I'm ready for something along the lines of Nocturne again. Devil Summoner 2 was a nice bump in the road, but I want a balls out, bosses nearly impossible, 100 hour great looking Shin Megami Tensei game.
With the exception of Golden Sun, your list is really good. Considering your avatar, I'm surprised you didn't include one of the Devil Summoner games. The second one was REALLY good.
