Glad to see the improvements fixed the crappy port we got on PSOne. I'm pretty excited about this.
I find it incredibly odd that this game is getting the hype it's getting. Firstly, Atlus typically publishes niche titles and games that it's already established fan base would enjoy. I honestly believe that if this game wasn't a PS3 exclusive, it would not be nearly as popular as it is.
I'm not complaining, as I'd love to see this site actually start embracing the kind of video games I really love, but I still find it a bit odd. I really hope those that jumped on the hype ...
I've been playing jrpgs since the NES and Eternal Sonata IS a good rpg. Given, I have it on PS3, but it is good.
Blue Dragon isn't terrible, either.
Illusion of Gaia was an Enix game, not Squaresoft.
Other than that mistake, I like the list.
I think the part of this article people are overlooking is the fact that the "fat" PS3 DID NOT get a price cut in Japan. They'd have to be pretty dumb to buy one right now when a cheaper model is coming out at the beginning of next month, even if they were available.
Though I do prefer the PC Civ games, this one was a lot of fun. Not a bad buy at all if you don't have a decent gaming PC.
This isn't exactly a legit article, as the information provided has been the same since 2006. However, this link: http://ps3.ign.com/articles... makes me wonder if this is what is being mentioned. Hopefully it is, as long as it keeps to Suda 51's unusual style.
Upsets me a bit. I already played Persona 3: FES to completion, but if the new character actually adds significantly to the story, I'll no doubt be on board for this one.
It depends on the kind of game for me. I like my side scrolling games and JRPGs to be difficult. I loved Mega Man 9, Ghost and Goblins, the Eterian Odyssey games, the SMT series (especially the old ones), and even Baroque. I'll likely love Demon's Souls.
I'm not so good at First Person Shooters, but I still like playing them, so I tend to play the campaign modes in the easiest setting.
I've considered the demi-fiend before, but am too afraid I will no longer care about it in 20 years. He is righteous looking though
It was my personal least favorite. The new weapons kind of sucked, and the setting got old really fast. Also, the characters it introduced were boring.
It still wasn't terrible, none of them have been.
1.5 is downloading fine for me right now. I don't know about this one yet, but I didn't even see it listed
Sweet, looks like Shin Megami Tensei 1 and 2, only the visuals look better. I'm excited.
From a sells perspective, it would make sense (to me) to release SMT IV on DS. The fact is, SMT is WAY more popular in Japan than it is here, and there are a LOT of DS owners in Japan.
I mean, I'd like to see SMT IV on a next gen console as much as anyone else, but if it's not, I'm not going to cry about it. I'll buy it instead :)
It's my understanding from an article I read at rpgfan that the creators of Persona are going to sit on it a while. It gives me hope that SMT IV may be next :)
The Path was a brilliant game and Sony is missing out on this developer.
If any developer has a right to say this, it's Tale of Tales.
I'm very shocked that Sony would feel this way about Tale of Tales, considering Sony systems are where you usually get the really unusual Atlus games.
You can't just accept anyone to make games for your system, but you should at least look at what they've done. If Sony didn't like what this company has done, I may ...
The comment section of this article:
"I DON'T HAVE A PSP SO I DO NOT APPROVE OF THIS GAME"
If you've ever played a PSP, you know this game will look great on it. The screen is very clear and it handles graphics you wouldn't think it'd be able to handle.
Stop crying and buy a PSP already
Agree with Okami. Would have said the new Prince of Persia, Dark Cloud 2, SMT: Nocturne, and Killer 7
I just press the middle X button (I don't know what it's called, the one that let's you access dashboard options, the Xbox button?) to pause cut scenes. Works fine.
Vanillaware game, not likely the score was forced. They make great games.
