Owning all 3 systems lets you actually play everything. You know which system you like best, because you've actually experienced the good and bad of all of the systems.

I got mine at a midnight launch, but there was only 15 people there. Smallest midnight launch I've been to.
I don't live in a big area though. It was nice of them to do that for us, I thought. The game is amazing, too.

That particular game does not require hand skills, but instead requires you to use logic (much MORE than in most games of the sort) and reasoning to figure out exactly what commands to do. It's not about memorization, because the bosses in that game don't always do the same thing each time you fight them. Just because you took the title the wrong way doesn't mean it's flamebait. The guy liked the Dreamcast, and complimented the PS3 for the similarities it has. Oh, but clearly the title was meant to make you think that the PS3 was going to fail like the Dreamcast did, because YOU PERSONALLY made that judgment call when you read the title. Don't know whether to pick Heavy Rain or Uncharted 2. I'm sure I'll love GOW3 too. Only game there I'm not interested in is WKC. As someone who loves a great jrpg, it just doesn't look good at all. I'll just replace it with Devil Summoner 2 on PS2 and a Sony system will still end up getting my money :)
I live in a small town in Southwest Virginia and even our Gamestop is doing a midnight launch. I'm excited :)
I'm a bit disappointed that I have to get this on 360 instead of PS3 (you know, didn't really want to hear that loud buzzing sound my 360 makes while playing it). I'm not waiting to see if it gets a PS3 release though. My 360 doesn't get much love anyway, this gives me an excuse to actually turn the thing on.
I do look at metacritic, but only as a one time stop to see the ratings from the journalists I actually trust. The overall average score is meaningless, as are the ratings from the journalists I usually disagree with.
For your sake, let's hope they scrapped it. They claimed the delay was because it's harder to get the Unreal Engine 3 to work on the PS3, and the game didn't run for sh!t on the 360, which usually does okay with the Unreal Engine 3.
Honestly, I think I would have enjoyed that game a lot more had it not had the framerate issues it had. I've seriously seen smoother powerpoint presentations than some of the animation in that game. If the PS3 improves that, it might be worth a p...
Square Enix was not only good in the Playstation era. As separate companies, they both made fantastic games for the SNES.
I agree that the Playstation era was the last time they were good, though.

Only thing I noticed in my demo was a split second stop when moving to a new area. The guns did handle in the way described, but I liked it that way.
I'm also confused as to the title. The N4G title and title on the site are the same. Why would the author use that title? After reading what he said in full, he had one minor complain and is otherwise very excited about the game due to the demo he apparently finds disappointing.
I very much agree. It often bugs me that many people blame Enix for bringing down Square, despite the fact that it could easily be looked at as the other way around.
