I'm going to buy Killzone 2, and I'm probably going to love it to death. However, that comment made me incredibly happy. I'm thankful there are journalists out there who reward ideas and creativity.

Much like No More Heroes, I fully expect this game to make interesting and unique use of the Wii remote.
That's why NMH was not on any other system, and I imagine that is also why this one won't be, either.
I can't wait to get my hands on this. Between this and Killzone 2, I'm going be to be BUSY. I didn't expect the early part of this year to be so exciting.
Well, at least we know Atlus will always be there for us.
SE didn't give us one SINGLE good game in '08, and '09 isn't looking to good either.
Maybe the Enix side of the company can pull a nice surprise and give us a current gen Soul Blazer.
Otherwise, it will be another year of me putting cash in the pockets of Atlus only for my jrpg fix.

I'm guessing the reason they didn't say it was shaping up to be the best on any console is because IGN is actually a good site, from a journalistic standpoint. They don't blatantly support either side of the "console war" and only compare systems when a game is multi-platform. Maybe you should post some of it, then. From what I've seen in the comment section of this thread, the people who think Crysis is more technically efficient are posting links for proof, yet the people saying Killzone 2 looks better are not.
I love my Playstation 3, and personally believe it is the superior of the consoles. However, not only does Killzone 2 not look better than Crysis on highest settings, no game for the PS3 ever will. It simply doesn't have the specs.

As an owner of both systems, what I would MOST like to see is for the PS3 to gain enough momentum to equal the sales of the 360, and for 2009 to be the year where not only do both consoles sell well, but also put out some fantastic games.

This game is better than 2 of the 3 you listed, and the other one isn't out yet (in my country). It deserved every bit of it's 9.7.
I doubt Sony had any say in what system Atlus wanted to make Persona 4 on. And as much as I'd LOVE to believe otherwise, Persona (and SMT in general) is not going to sell too many systems. Xenosaga is good, but you're really going to have to get all 3 of them to enjoy the whole story. Also, the 2nd one has a pretty terrible battle system.
I played Devil Summoner to completion, but honestly, towards the end it started feeling like a chore. Also, it's short. The story is great, though.
Magna Carta is hailed by many, but personally I didn't enjoy it. Pacing was VERY slow, and the characters were hard to get into.
Nocturne for sure, but I'm not done with P4 yet and I am REALLY liking it.
What's so hard about that? Once you get past the fact that you're going to spend more money than you have, playing games on a PC is a breeze (especially if you have the hard drive space for Steam and D2D)
