The keyboard can be a bit frustrating when a lot of the keyboard is implemented (the first Crysis is actually one of these games). However, the right analog stick will never, EVER be better than a mouse. You CAN NOT get the accuracy with the analog stick that you can with a mouse. I've tried adjusting sensitivity on a right analog stick to try to get the accuracy I get with a mouse, and it's just not possible.
I really should have added something about crashes. I did have several, however they are less frequent as the game is updated.
Have a new one :)
The scariest game I ever played was Clock Tower 3. From the minute I turned it on to the time I stopped playing it, the only thing my character was supposed to do is run and hide. Never fight back, just run and hope your hiding place is good enough. The enemies like to taunt you too, just making it worse. "WHERE ARE YOUUUUUU". It was never that cheap "pop out and get you" style scary, it was run for life scary. Tense the whole time.
I really enjoyed Indigo Prophecy and this looks like it's shaping up to be pretty good, too. However, I do hope the finished product looks a little better. As someone who plays a lot of Jrpgs, visuals are not something I usually care about, but in a game like this, they matter a lot. As it stands (from those videos), it looks "fine". Fine isn't good enough for a game like this.
@9- Is your period key broken?
@9.1- God of War 2 is a fantastic looking game, but you'd have to be blind or stupid to think it looks better than Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Maybe you meant Ninja Gaiden Black?
It's not going to be that, but I really really really hope it is
Agree with the original comment. Put down your fanboy glasses and "EVERYTHING GOOD IS NEXT GEN" attitude and pick up some of the great stuff Atlus is giving us on PS2, DS, and PSP. Last great JRPG? Devil Summoner 2. It came out LAST WEEK.
Fallout 3 sure has a nasty reputation around here, considering it's the only game from 2008 I still play a lot. With the inclusion of Broken Steel's level cap increase and two more DLCs, this game is becoming MASSIVE. Add some of the great PC mods and it's even bigger. I agree that this isn't really a fanboy fight starter, though. This is good news.
I think I know why. I loved Crysis to death, but I can't help but admit that it has mediocre multiplayer. I don't know if you've noticed, but people are crazy about multiplayer this gen. Crysis had one of the best single player campaigns I've ever played, and the suit and it's different abilities were nothing but pure fun. However, for me, Crysis was one of those games I play through a couple of times and only pick it back up to show friends how great it looks. You can play Call of Duty ...
The first trailer looks really cool. I'm looking forward to it.
If it's ANYTHING like the first one, it's going to be garbage. The first one was one of the worst RPGs I've played on the PS2, up there with Unlimited Saga
I'm pretty sure I won't be finding my copy of Devil Summoner 2 at Target or Wal Mart.
I have 2 stores near here. One is fantastic: knowledgeable employees, good customer service, and they don't seem to mind TOO much having to go through all the trouble of getting into their computer system.
The other isn't so great, though. I had a guy get really nasty with me there once, just for asking if they had a Wii. Though this was during that time when they were hard ...
First or third, it's really irrelevant. Gears of War was better on PC, too.
Also, I own all 3 consoles. Shooters are better on PC. The right analog stick sucks for shooters, or any game where aiming comes into play. Not all games are: I wouldn't play a Jrpg on a PC. Prince of Persia was annoying to control on PC, but felt great on the consoles.
If you're going to play shooters, save your cash and by a PC. There is NO substitute for a mouse.
Ah good. I like to see first person shooters get support on the PC, seeing as how they're pretty much unplayable for me on anything but the PC.
I don't see how you people play these games with the right analog stick. It's a freakin' handicap.
I played this game for two days and sold it back. It's horrible. There are a few pretty good Jrpgs on the 360, and this isn't one of them.
Got any level 9999's yet? I mean really, what other games can you do that?
I'll read up on what this is about, and if the story sounds good, I'm all aboard.
About half of those are horrible (I know because I own them), and handful of them are multiplatform.
Props the the PS2 guy, he's so very right.
Can't wait to get my Raiho plushie :)
