Dogmeat was kinda worthless. He died when I fast traveled :/
On the topic of the article, I like the direction they're going with the character models. Seems like there's a little more life in them.
I don't get the linearity argument either, but I'm pretty upset about their not being towns or cities to explore. I understand a linear plot, that's par for the course, but that doesn't mean you take out all exploration, because that's always been part of the fun in the series too. I'll still buy it and I'm looking forward to it, but that one thing does annoy me a bit.
Oh come on. You've been here long enough to know that when you say things like "it is far from the greatest console game ever" that you're pushing somebody's buttons, regardless if that was your main point.
I find it hard to believe that you're surprised, and if you are you either aren't paying much attention or are giving this community more credit than I will.
I had totally forgot about that code. I'm a little annoyed that I had to pay a 5 dollar shipping fee, but it's a good deal either way.
Not sure that was 15 bucks worth of game, but I did enjoy it
He needs to get himself a copy of a Shin Megami Tensei title. Not one of the Persona spinoffs, but one of the actual games, like Nocturne or the upcoming Strange Journey. I think he'd be surprised at the topics that get delved into.
Personally I think you're over exaggerating a bit. It doesn't look as good as GoW3 is gonna look or as good as several other games this gen, but it doesn't look like a last gen game at all. If it did, it wouldn't look good by today's standards at all.
Personally, I'm having a lot of fun with this game, and I didn't think it looked bad either. The bosses look awesome! The only issue I had with visuals was that too much of the game seemed to be played with a distant camera view of Dante. It's hard to make a game look good when you spend half the game squinting to see your character. Not a lot of variety visually either, but I figured as much seeing as how the whole game takes place in Hell. One of the coolest things about it was how it ...
So did 1 and 2.
This list is the best games of the decade, 2000-2009. ME2 came out in 2010, and as such cannot be represented in this list.
Just because a person owns both doesn't mean they don't like one of them better than the other. In fact, someone who owns both is more likely to like one better than the other, because they actually play both of them.
There's nothing wrong with it at all, I never said there was. The article itself is dumb. The argument for both sides is dumb. There are perks to both, some people like PC's perks, some like console perks. Your original post was fueling an argument that was stupid to begin with.
What do you mean it's hardcore vs casual? I don't see anything in his comment that has anything to do with that. There's nothing any more hardcore or casual about playing the same game on different medium, or WHERE YOU CHOOSE TO SIT to play the game! This generation of gamers are really, really dumb.
Looks very love it/hate it. Like most Level 5 games. Loved Dark Cloud 2. Hated Rogue Galaxy. Not sure on this one, but I could probably get into that town building, looks like it was taken right out of Dark Cloud.
There are some real zzzzz moments probing planets too, but at least with the Mako you got to drive around and do something besides look at a graph based planet and press one button on it every once in while. Seriously, probing planets sucked. Yeah, the Mako wasn't perfect, but rather than fixing it up a bit and making it better, they scrapped it for a craptastic mini game? Psh. I never once got the feeling I was actually exploring anything when probing, just moving that tiny little ship f...
I swear to god I've read this exact post on N4G like 80 times. Couch bedroom blah blah blah, fanboys blah blah blah. PC elitist blah blah blah.
We get it. Jeez.
Agreed. I enjoy the game, it's fun. However, every single thing he said in this article is true.
From Software made towns in HD in Enchanted Arms. Lost Odyssey had them. Eternal Sonata had them. Practically every western RPG this gen has had them. But SE says it's too much work? I understand that JRPG's are usually linear in nature, but taking away towns is like taking away a fundamental part of a JRPG. What next, no XP? No levels? No dialog? No stats? Final Fantasy has been around long enough to have made 13 games and numerous spin offs. SE's fan base is ALREADY SET. The onl...
I wonder if "Like any good RPG" when talking about towns was a shot at FFXIII?
Anyway, looking forward to it.
I'm disappointed that he's interested in either one.
