It's that time of the month again is it?
Where someone makes a list of the most controversial games of all time?
Postal, carmageddon, manhunt 2, medal of honor, rapelay, doom, quake, gta, and mortal kombat now please fuck off and write something that hasn't been written three hundred times already.
Deus ex.
To be fair gearbox have gone from strength to strength (we'll ignore DNF) where as rebellion made an awesome game in 1991 and then remade the same game in 2010 and surprise surprise, when you ignore 20 years of progress in a fledgling industry things don't go well.
I find you get more free stuff if you email them pictures of you sleeping under their bed in cosplay.
I really hope Rage brings the bacon to the table. I've always enjoyed id software's work and nothing makes me want to vomit quite like somebody dismissing Rage as just another derivative shooter. A pretty disrespectful idea considering they invented the fucking genre.
I also like that they're not bowing to the overwhelming sense of pressure the cod and halo generation has forced onto the industry. They're picking modern innovations that make sense for the game...
Somebody plays them. Nowhere does it say on a game box that all it takes is three or four years and boom, no more online play.
And also, yelling,
"HAY GUIZE, I'M RIGHT AND YOU'RE SO WRONG SO JUST SHUT UP, KAY?" into the comments section of a gaming website isn't going to suddenly result in everyone shutting up and agreeing with you.
It'd require a lot more brain damage than listening to you gives me for me to agree w...
Apparently I was one of ten thousand who bought dark messiah and I'm also one of ten who absolutely fucking loved it. Definitely one of my all time favourite games. Alright, it's not one the best games I've ever played, but for me, personally, it hit all the right buttons and I loved it.
So to hear that a) arkane aren't closing down even though they came SO close it, and b) that they're making another game with sword combat, well... it's just like chr...
Unskippable cutscenes and no quick save on PC games drive me fucking insane.
If you're gonna do autosaves then make sure you do it fucking properly! It is not okay to punish the player by making them replay sections of the game. In fact it's not fucking okay to punish the god damned player at all. We bought the game to play it, not get punched in the face by it because we didn't meet it's standards. Don't fine me, don't take loot away, don't make ...
I would do abominable things for that sum of money. Im talking horrific acts that venture into behaviour that exceeds our deepest and wildest nightmares.
But I draw the line at developing casual Facebook games.
*shudders*
What filth.
Agreed, no doubt explaining what the hell happened to nomad. Crysis 2 sold pretty badly so all they can do now is pick up their pants and try to appease the lost fans of the original. Which will be difficult although that directx 11 patch was a nice touch.
You couldn't pay shakespeare to write a sentence with as much wrong in it as yours.
Twenty words but a thousand facepalms.
This MIGHT have something to do with the fact that call of duty doesn't exactly require schematics to build every new item you want to gain access to in the game.
I've sunk two, maybe three hundred hours into minecraft and I STILL keep googling stuff on it because Notch keeps updating the game and changing the rules.
As always I will pre-order this when steam tells me last chance to pre-order which is always like 24 hours before the release date.
Seems a little stupid to me but if they want to play it like that then fine. I'll buy their game with all it's extra content and for ten pounds less than usual so they can get their hands on my precious cash a whopping full day earlier than normal.
Edit: Oh shit, it's not on steam is it? Oh well, I'll just have t...
Hmmmm, I was being more satirical of microsoft. All the sentiments expressed in my comment are genuine. I'm just waiting for them to unveil sort of nasty little catch.
My point regarding red dead is that it's something I've always wanted to play. As much as I'd love to think microsoft would let us play on an equal playing field with their precious console buyers chances are they wouldn't do that. We'd get red dead whilst they get a new console and a w...
Watching microsoft do anything competently is like watching my dog solve a rubik's cube.
Still, it's better than apple being a major figure in the games industry.
*shudders*
They'd make microsoft look like Mother Theresa.
Trust me, microsoft have something planned.
And piracy is the only tool we have that prevents the PC community getting fist fucked. Whilst console players have to enjoy full priced map pack expansions, over priced HDMI cables, paying for online play, and the red ring of death, the games industry is still getting its arse handed to it over the issue of DRM.
Piracy, and the hackers behind the scene, allow us to OWN the games we buy. Without the cracks they pr...
*sigh* what's the catch microsoft?
I need to take a picture of an xbox in my living room?
I need to buy three hundred HDMI cables?
You're gonna release the xbox 720 straight away and pump it full of fucking exclusives whilst I'm left with the sloppy seconds of gears of war, red dead, and halo?
Or am I gonna need to kneel down before my PC every morning and chant "In his house at R'lyeh dead Bill Gates wai...
Because robin is an artifact of bygone era where a middle aged bachelor could adopt a young teenage boy into his ward, dress him up in masks and tight fitting clothes, take him out to dark alley ways and no one would bat an eyelid?
And now in a world where batman is being adapted as an actual serious action movie as opposed to child's cartoon in live action format we're finding that large parts of the mythology don't really fit into a modern day world?
...
Me likey long time.
Much stronger art direction than crysis 2 from the looks of it.
New York gets pretty boring fast when it's just skyscraper after skyscraper.
