I loved fallout 3's ending. Real fun. Helped set the scene with that awesome juxtaposition between the cramped vault and the sudden open expanse of the wasteland. Well worth the wait and the build up.
I didn't quite see how this and racism was gonna line up but to be fair the researcher makes a very valid observation. It seems that the only time I hear about games in the media is when a white male commits a killing spree.
I've been waiting a while for the endless shit storm of "murder simulator" crap to pour in over the oslo incident but I just haven't seen it yet. I don't know why but I'm not happy to say it's because culture and the medi...
Fucking hell man. He bought a game, he doesn't have a life long obligation to suck the devs cocks for the rest of his life. Capitalism is built on behaviour like this whether it's cars, soft drinks or games. He has no ethical obligation to give a shit about the devs of the game once he owns the damn thing.
Capitalism is built on competition and hence winners or losers. Stop being such a bunch of fucking pussies and realize that there has to be a losing party involved....
Unless the secret is "don't" then once again microsoft is speaking a load of cock again.
I definitely agree with this. Games like stalker, dark messiah and borderlands hit my top 3 favourite games but at the same time I look at games like portal, half life, system shock, silent hill 2 and I just think they are the best games I've ever played.
It's sort of how I'd say apocalypse now is a better movie than equilibrium, but for some reason that shitty like action sci fi movie pressed the right buttons for me and makes it something I watch all the time.
I liked bulletstorm and there's nothing wrong with it. It was fun and silly and wasn't meant to be some grand statement. It's not meant to have any reflection on the people who enjoy it. Have you read some of chaucers work, or the revengers tragedy?
Silly pieces of fun for their time that were regardlessly written by very skilled authors.
If you seriously think the games industry is no place for fun, and that all of us folks who like the odd game...
Trust me, compared to his well put together and thoughtful comment its your who looks like the noob.
Bulletstorm was a good game but what was good was all "people can fly". What sucked was epic.
Incredible level design, beautiful art direction, huge setpieces, great understanding of scale, fun combat, great guns - people can fly.
Warped body proportions, bizarre and horribly out of place waist high cover, that brown weird laminated ...
Yeah and I want the body of an athlete but it doesn't always work on what we want.
How about this EA. You reverse time and erase CnC4, give dragon age fans a real sequel, explain to bioware that mass effect isn't meant to be about the explosions an guns, give me back Westwood studios, give mirror's edge a sequel, remove dice's head from it's money sniffing ass and help them get back into the business of making games and out of the fuck-call-of-duty busines...
They haven't announced jack shit yet except that it's not a reboot, sequel, prequel or remake which leaves... well I don't really know what it leaves.
So long as it's a) first person b) got that great art direction that always makes id software's rendition of hell incredibly novel and interesting, c) colossal amounts of action and guns and d) the first class level and world design we've come to expect from id.
Oh yeah and e) Hell on ...
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU UUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!
I've capped my fifth fucking borderlands characters CAN WE PLEASE HAVE SOME NEW GAMES?
To the lost fanboys:
The writers themselves have admitted they made the story up on the go for the sole reason of giving it some cryptic attraction to the same people who pore over every detail of a movie for some insane conspiracy theory.
These are the same people who SWEAR on their fucking grandmother's life that the suitcase in pulp fiction contains wallace's soul despite Tarantino literally turning around and saying,
"No it...
These mods rock my socks.
"the idea this violence is being used as entertainment for people who’ve never even visited the country."
Eurgh.
You know what? Let's not bother. Let's just fucking stop and not bother doing anything because it's always going to offend someone. Let's stop making games, movies, comics, novels, plays, paintings, models, graffiti, jokes and every-fucking-thing else because SOMEWHERE someone is going to get annoyed and offended.
In my opinion you will never ever get the same fear factor in a co-op game as you will in an sp game.
True fear comes from atmosphere, isolation and that sense of helplessness. How is that possible with a) you're best friend giving you a hand, or b) a random dick head who's completely breaking your immersion by acting like a fuck wit or c) an AI who's as competent as a condom with breathing holes in it.
If paranormal activity had been a co-op ga...
Damn right! There are more fucking articles about controversial games than there are controversial games!
THIS. NOW.
If I'd earned that much then yes.
But my point is why bother? Why even write an article for a game we have zero idea about. Have rumors ever proven reliable in the games industry? This is an industry where it's perfectly normal for half the things the devs say to wind up either different or just flat out missing from the end product and yet for some reason people are talking and speculating endlessly in a way that almost sounds like it's been released.

You're not doing yourself any favours bioware. You don't buy a pack of beers and hope that come the fourth they've magically turned into cider and I sure as hell didn't buy mass effect 1 (an rpg) hoping I'd finish the story playing a 3rd person shooter.
And people who play 3rd person shooters won't want to start the last third of a series that requires them to play 2 other games that are RPGs and hence, out of their comfort zone.
In sh...
No no no no. Of course I wouldn't kill them. They'd just have to sleep outside with the dog for a while.
I still get things like avatar: the movie: the game and they still just sit there in their wrapper. It's part of the process. Hell it's even part of the fun. I got games like dark messiah just from my sister thinking it'd make a good present and it did. I bet if you'd asked the store clerk he would have (like most critics) recommended giving it a skip. Sometimes letting an observer pick at random can produce better results than letting some 'expert' make suggestions.
