"- Furious 4 is More Like Inglorious Bastards Less Like Brothers in Arms"
In other recent news the surface of the sun is pretty damned hot.
Well made observation on Romanov from gta4.
Such a major cock-up. Yahtzee's "review" of duke nukem forever nailed it on the head.
Fucking brilliant article. I think no matter how hard I try I simply can't shake the idea that 3D realms must have been such a bunch of fucking monkeys to take nearly fifteen years to make a 10 hour long game.
That's 1.2 years, or 14.4 months to develop every hour in the game.
It takes the human body nine months to take a single cell and make a God Damned human being out of it.
No matter how much I tell myself that "making gam...
Does anyone remember Oblivion's adoring fan?
Man, that guy died a lot of horrible and progressively inventive deaths at my hands.
It's not that bad. It's actually pretty damned fun at times. If anything the biggest problems with it are where it strays away from its roots, doing that whole recharging health and limited weapon carrying. It's like they really want to go balls out and let you have some painkiller style shooting fun but if a pig cop so much as tickles Duke Nukem he needs to spend fifteen minutes behind cover waiting for his ego to recover.
Also checkpoints, why the fuck does thi...
Hmmmm... I sense... I sense potential awesome. I sense something along the lines of... Call of Duty prestige. But in the form of taking over as a child you've raised. Creating a lineage that would allow you to create various characters whilst never leaving the one world.
Which would be fucking impossible to integrate but shut up I'm allowed to dream.
Can they really afford bold new decisions? Whilst I genuinely enjoyed both kane & lynch games it's no secretthat they didn't get the best critical or commercial reception. These guys are on the teetering edge as a company having essentially lobbed out two failures. They really need to go back to what works and put some cash in their account before they go running around making 'bold decisions'.
In my opinion IO have a LOT of artistic integrity. Any commer...
Damn right.
"I'm back!"
Trailer, screenshots, whatever please! I'd like to know where the franchise is headed, apparently it's not a sequel, remake or prequel so I'm pretty damned interested. All this talk of twice the graphical power of rage is making me super excited.
Rage is great and everything but damn doom 4 sounds like a shit load of fun.
"much of his macho charm having given way over the past decade to dick jokes even young boys would struggle to find funny"
I never knew kotaku had a monopoly on what was funny and what wasn't.
People are idiots, don't ever assume something's popularity has any sort of correlation with its quality.
So I guess in that sense CoD is a good example. Very popular series... however most of the games are complete and utter cock-bollocks comprised entirely of mindless spectacle with neither substance nor soul.
No it was not worth the fucking wait. How could it EVER be worth the fucking wait? This game could have come with a seventeen year old asian school girl whos english vocabulary extends solely to the words "yes" and "please" and it still wouldn't have been worth the cunting wait.
The simple fact is that the tragedy occurred nine years ago and it's taken a while for it to sink in. The extended dev cycle completely fucked it up, but the basic fact is ...
Why don't you just both focus on making the fucking games instead of acting like children all the time?
One monopoly for another isn't necessarily an improvement. I'm a little disappointed lately with dice because they're less a game dev and more like EA's prized pet. It's hard to remember that once upon a time battlefield was just a game, and not a massive anti-cod movement.
Or it might just have something to do with the fact that retailers broke the street date on wednesday.
Yeah what the hell is up with the disagrees? That's the original duke nukem game, he was just posting a little fun bit of nostalgia.
And I really enjoyed the second one. I discovered it on the duke nukem 3d disk and just fell in love with it. It had such an amazing old school sci fi feel, I completed it through twice. A really epic game that proves Duke's been kicking ass for a while.
Don't be such a spiteful bitch towards a game that has had literally hundreds of people put their time and effort into it, many of whom were women who had enough pride, dignity and intelligence to see past the clearly transparent and satirical misogyny.
You sound like the bitch at the water cooler who everyone has to wait for to walk away before they can tell a dirty joke. Well you keep chasing frisbees whilst ignoring the significantly more damaging and concerning issue...
I wouldn't say it's that bad. I've actually been pushing through and honestly it's more like a seven or an eight out of ten. It's sufficiently varied enough to keep me entertained (driving the mini RC car through your own museum rocked), and whilst I would have liked better graphics I don't really mind. Graphics don't bother me too much.
I will say I was completely dumbfounded to find out it's on unreal engine 3 and not id tech 4. It means that...
I'm glad Tommy has a role but I never really minded the idea of them starting fresh either. It's the same devs so as far as I'm concerned wherever they take it is their own decision. And frankly it sounds like they're taking it to an awesome place.
