Oh, really. So, you take a Stuff Magazine article -- total baseless speculation. Then, you're going to make a value judgement about your impression of Gate's speech.
From this, you'll decide if Microsoft -- one of leading technology firms on the planet -- has made changes to its buisness plan within the last 72 hrs....
oh, i love it. N4G's pure Sony-fanboy logic at work. Please, tell us more...
"it's funny in the last two weeks about 9 of my friends 360's RRoD'd "
You know what else is funny? Well, in the last two weeks, I won the lottery -- twice! Yep! And, I turned down a date with Selma Hyak because I already had a date with Scarlett Johansson! And, it ended up in a 3-some with Selma and Scarlett when she decided to just show up at the strip club Scarlett demanded we go-to!
Later that day, I brokered an Israli - Palestinian peace deal ...
"Game devs care about install base and software sales."
No truer words on N4G have ever been spoken.
Game machines are movie-disc-players second, always have been. But you know what is *NEW*? Download-movies and IPTV.
Welcome to the future, you can keep your DRM-laden MPAA/RIAA BlueRay discs and the old paradigm.
Im going to rent my movies and save a bundle, not to mention not regret piles of unwatched, $25 plastic discs....
"First off Xbox live really does absolutely nothing that the ps3 does not do"
Are you *JOKING*? You've clearly never used an Xbox 360 on LIVE. Clearly. Try paying better attention.
Report this article as lame.
There was (and never has been) a "Xbox LIVE meltdown". The article is inaccurate flamebait.
There were isolated and intermittent problems. If PSN had the number of services and features, and the ~10 million users, it would have some hickups too.
MS is the world's leading software firm, and, inspite of what you lot think, Xbox LIVE is a bleeding edge service, unpeered and totally without challengers.

I played System Shock, and no, they arent as good. Bioshock had such an amazing sense of immersion and setting - better than any game I've ever played...
Oh your so clever. Do you think all creation happens in a vacuum? *OR* do you think all PS3 games are of virgin creative birth, while the vile, evil MS simply steals (*gasp*) all their software.
Get realistic son.
@2.1
Bioshock 2: The Rupture of Rapture.
Even *better* than the first, while playing Bioshock, I thought the prequel story would be better.. too much unexplored opportunity.
I can't wait.
You dont like it because they gave a good score to an Xbox 360 game.
Get lost.

"wi-fi accessory"
Wi-Fi is shiat for gaming. HIGH latency and bad through-put. Further, you can use any widely available Wi-Fi bridge for $25 if you *had* to use crappy wi-fi for gaming.

So? A Core costs less than $300 -- many people may just w...
"To use the PS3's power? The 360 is limiting what the PS3 is allowed to do"
Bhwhwhwha! I never get tired of ps3-owner's delusions. I really can't add more than what is being said above...
but you Sir are out-to-lunch. There is NOTHING you can do on the PS3 that cant be done on the Xbox 360 - for less developer effort at that.
You're out-to-lunch child.
"X360 got so much AAA titles why don't you play them instead always wishing PS3 games? "
Well, why not want it all? The fact still remains, that the Xbox 360 library is better regarded than the PS3 library.
Admit it or not, clearly 17.7 Million people have chosen to play the games on the Xbox 360 as opposed to the < 8 Million PS3.
Sorry -- the market *is* choosing, and its choosing Xbox 360 by leaps and bounds.
"Rockstar isn't going to limit their potential by developing on inferior hardware"
Are you *that* gullible and clueless? Sony has the marketing-wool pulled right over your eyes. Are you the kind of person who buys water-filters from telephone-marketers? Do you send money to African Email Scammers? Do you buy penny gold-exploration stocks?
How do people like you _survive_ in the world being so gullible and, dare I say it, stupid?
Look,...
Except that we didnt trade "a week of Xbox LIVE" - *some* people had *some* problems.
Limited scope. Limited exposure. And, just like *all* the other ways MS treats its customers excellent, they gave *everyone* some compensation.
I -- nor anyone I know -- had a single problem at all during the holidays... and, I'll be getting some free-stuff.
That's top notch customer respect.
"Carcassone is pretty damn good ..and we got that for free. "
How did you get that for free?
Further, as for the "not happy no matter what". You have to understand that MOST of the belly-aching -- from live service, to game glitches, to heat-failures -- are actually FUD astroturfing by non-Xbox 360 owners.
Keep that in mind ESPECIALLY when you are on N4G. Most of these "complaints" are simple lies.
Pac Man Championship Edition is *one*terrifc*game*.
I hope it is Pacman CE.
FURTHER, I hope Microsoft is working on a new PacMan Platformer -- the character & gameworld has much history, and they could do all kinds of run-and-jump gameplay in that world.
Hey, MS: Give me Pac Man Adventure(!).
I didnt have a single problem, nor did any of my regular Xbox LIVE friends (and family). Didnt have a problem signing up my nephew (whom I bought the Xbox LIVE Vision + 12 mos. for <$50).
But, as ALWAYS Microsoft really knows how to take care of its customers.
Great great news.
Two points:
1) MS is firmly in the drivers seat with price in relation to both Nintendo & Sony. MS has the middle prices done very well, if MS moves Sony & Nintendo *must* respond.
Based on the current sales rates, there is no reason that MS needs move its prices - if they do, it will be on their own terms and in total control to put pressure on Sony/Nintendo.
2) MS hasnt announced *any* '08 games really - they've done this ON PURPOSE. Wa...
I guess the big marketing push that Microsoft used to promote it really paid off.
Here, I'll fix it for you:
I guess the universal acclaim from critics ( 9.4 / 10) and the rabid fan-base really paid off.
The marketing didnt hurt for sure, but the game is TERRIFIC, the reviewers think so, I think so, and the hundreds of thousands playing right now think so.
Your a tool. Get lost fanboy.
