I play Operation 7 for the EXACT same reason. I get quite a few headshots with my customized FN-Fal, using an extended 20 round clip and a fluted barrel for better accuracy.

It's funny because we have far fewer games with realistic recoil than games with arcade style gun physics.

I'm glad some people here at N4G at least appreciate a good shooter.

Does RAGE have 492,252,234 guns of every single type you could possibly imagine? I don't think so.

That alone made Borderlands pwn.

Man, I still can't forget my street-sweeping shotty that fired like a machine gun. That thing was beastly...all black too.

You know what's crazy, we could be playing Samaritan on PC in 2014 looking the way it did in the tech demo. Crazy.

You know, what you mention was actually done in REAL-TIME with that alpha-footage released of Battlefront 3 (convenient that BF3 and BF3 were/are both spearheading next-gen gameplay).

Free Radical showcased what could have been during this console generation with Battlefront 3 but everything fell in.

Then again, that was alpha footage and the entire thing could have ran like horse poop for all we know. I do agree that this generation has yet to blow us away...

Very well said.

I think more people are interested in knowing that the tech is at least in development right now (not that Sony or MS would ever say) but it gives gamers hope for something to look forward to.

I think SOny and MS did the console race a disservice by launching with 512mb of RAM when at the time even then that wasn't a whole lot. 1GB would have vastly extended both console's lifetime considering that's one of the biggest setbacks de...

I agree dude, I loved the aesthetics of Tron Legacy, even though the movie and plot sucked big time.

A game using similar music, environments and a cityscape would just be epic. The capoeira-style combat would be pretty cool for a game, too, even though in the movie it was wasted in a somewhat non-sensical way.

I did read the article but the point is moot.

Games have plenty of time to flesh out characters, which makes the question of whether a game has too many villains pointless.

Uh, they do know this isn't a movie right?

40 hours offers plenty of time to flesh out dozens of bad guys.

If it's low-budget they'll do shock value and go custom fem Shepard so they can toss in a tactless lesbian scene.

If it's big budget, I would love to see Dominic Purcell or Matthew Fox as the lead.

$26 an hour?!?!? WTF?

Dude, average over here is $10 an hour...if you're lucky you might get $12 an hour, but most employers are cutting people hours left and right.

Everyone I know has a minimum of two jobs, most teachers I know have three jobs.

It's hard these days because you know a must-have title is worth $60 but it's the other intriguing but "unproven" games where most frugal gamers are just gonna wait for it to hit the bargain bin.

Bulletstorm looked like what Duke Nukem Forever should have been.

The vast divide between the two games is what caused a rift in the world of gaming.

They should have thrown Duke Nukem in there, some hot babes, a few lesbians, some mutant aliens who like hookers, and an explosive, talking cigar and the game would have hit a million...easy.

Maybe as an alternate outfit in the DLC.

That was kind of epic.

Major releases will probably always sell for $60 or higher...

I think in terms of lower quality games, they'll probably sell for a lot less.

I still can't believe people paid $60 for that awful 360 game Shadowrun. That was straight-up thievery on Microsoft's part.

@Below

Yeah but Lair was at least visually mesmerizing and Haze, well you got me with Haze.

Where have you been? Hello Kitty has got it going on man. I mean, what's cooler than a fluffy white cat in a pink dress? Gamers have been craving this since the launch of the Xbox 360 and PS3 and now Capcom is delivering.

Thank you Capcom, from the bottom of our hearts.

It's like you sum up all these mixed emotions of anger, surprise, intrigue and a little bit of reluctance, all jolting to come forth in a bubbling spritzer of outrage and enquiry, combined into the perfect expression.

Very articulate post. Well said.

Agreed. The Enginer (AKA Pinhead) would be wicked to play as...floating around with chains ripping opponents to shreds. Sign me up!
