PS3 Cloud does not support storing non-game saves.
Including all the DLCs on disc may not happen. The upcoming Mass Effect trilogy release contain zero DLCs on X360 version. PC version includes the DLC for ME1 only. On PS3, it doesn't have release date probably because the standalone ME2 version included all but one DLC. If the same ME2 DLCs are included in the trilogy plus ME1 game, it creates unfairness for other platform because for PS3 gamers, they are getting a lot more contents than others.
I think many ME3 fans including myself issues with story based DLC is we already know the endings. Who do I care going back to play some of the missing chapters that lead to the same conclusion in the endings?
But I do want to see post-ME3 ending story based DLCs without Shepard.
With LA Noire taking so many DVD discs on X360, is there a chance Rockstar is turning most of the episodes in DLC that must be downloaded from Microsoft? The game is designed like episode "plug-in" for all the cases. In theory, the game is playable even there is zero case left to solve. You just drive around LA and do whatever idiot things you like to the people and cars on the street as long you don't kill them. There's even an achievement if you can cause x dollar amount o...
And with 5-10 games to play? I don't even count every launch title true next gen graphics. No thanks because even with the launch titles, I don't always want to play them and it takes 2 years before there will be enough games made for the next games to make the console very fun.
And then they will probably be selling for $80?
Production cost of printing DVD discs going to be more pricey. Is PS3 version going to use dual layed 50GB Blu-ray disc?
How does Microsoft make the slim X360 more stylish than PS3? Is Sony shopping PS3 parts from supplier that charges premium for the parts?
Or previous PS3 models were that expensive to make that Sony has to go cheaper than Microsoft in making the latest PS3 design. Time will tell. One thing Sony is clever is often release new PS3 model around Fall season because the weather gets cooler until the following summer next year. By then, any hot electronics stay cool for almost a ye...
I fit into multiple groups depending on my mood how I want to game.
All you keep forgetting that on PS3 version, it's cheaper to use the existing ME2 and ME3 Blu-ray discs than reprinted a new version with all the games on one disc.
I guess most of you will fail coming to cost of reauthor a new disc vs reusing discs already made.
Plus if Bioware still plans to sell individual ME game, it's also cheaper to have the same set of games for each one (except ME1).
That's how I do it on games I don't fully agree.
Wait for a price drop.
(I don't always buy used anymore because of contents locked)
If I completely disagree, then skip it all together.
That's the thing I don't understand about fans, why force yourself and waste your money into buying games that you don't agree with. Remember, nothing is more powerful than when the game sales drop. That will get the publisher to hear yo...
Having competition is good for everyone. But it doesn't mean we all need to buy each competing consoles. That's the difference, "support" the competitors but don't need to own one. That continues to ensure other consoles stay in check and better pricing.
That is why I don't get new games on day 1 because I can't tell the amount of games contents removed to make DLC and the total costs of DLCs later.
Wait for a few months until the publisher has completed or near completed releasing all the DLCs for the game. That way I know total or almost total costs if I buy all the DLCs.
If I don't agree with the extra high costs of DLCs especially part of the main game on disc contents were removed to be sold ...
There is still one critical issue that we wouldn't know until someone gets his hands on the 12GB model. The hard drive mounting bracket. Since Sony now is selling their branded hard drive for PS3, there is a very good chance the 12GB model doesn't come with the mounting bracket. From the video, it looks the mounting bracket is different from the older models.
Sony can charge whatever they want for the mounting bracket even it costs hardly anything to make. If Sony rea...
You don't. Remember 12GB flash model is for very casual gamers who only think cheap. While it's true that anyone who games slightly more than very casual gamers will need a hard drive (unlike X360 games that must work directly with DVD drive), Sony must find a way to get those casual gamers to choose PS3 than X360. Any other problem like needing a hard drive later is post initial sale issue.
But with 12GB model targeted at casual gamers, I do hope more games are desig...
First you need to use a screwdriver that is perfect fit. Don't use a screwdriver head that is slightly too large or too small.
Second, wonder why Sony would use such an easy to strip screws? Sony doesn't like home users to do the hard drive upgrade themselves. If they do, they better be careful or the screw is permanently stuck. I know what all you will say but the fact is if you want to do it yourself can't get a perfect fit screwdriver, then tough luck. If you d...
Do you even get such type of "swimsuit" outfits if you buy the regular edition?
(If you think the "swimsuit" outfits are too distracting to play the actual game, play DOA Extreme 2 and then play DOA5. Once you have seen the girls wearing next to no clothing in DOA Extreme 2, the girls will look overly clothed in DOA5.)
Anyone who doesn't like the PS3 4000 model look, buy the older 3000 model quickly.
I still think the original launch models with PS2 BC have the most stylish look because the surface is shiny with mirror metal plating around the console. The later revision models without PS2 BC changed the mirror metal plating to dull look.
Until there are shipping Wii U games that are ported from PS3/X360 running side by side with PS3 or X360, it's only hype from Nintendo.
Ever wonder why Nintendo is very selective in showing Wii U games that are ported from other consoles? They refused to show the graphics on Wii U in details compared to PS3 or X360 than showing the tablet controller.
The question is why Wii U version of Mario characters have so little improvement over Wii. But other than giving the characters more pixels and more detail rendering, that's about all you can do with Mario characters. In other words, if you buy Mario games for Wii U for graphics, then it's a waste. Mario games are for gameplay, not graphics.
In other words, Wii U hardware is way underused if the primary games you play is Mario.
I have both ME2 and ME3 on PS3 and X360. And I have spent over 500 hours playing them both. I will not say PS3 version is better of X360 version. There are more graphical glitches on PS3 version even ME3. Having spent so many hours playing both games on both consoles, X360 version feels "smoother" overall and less odd graphics glitches.
It's the PS3 fanboys who never played ME on X360 think PS3 version is that good. Then again, if I never played ME on X360, I...
