Well I was pretty dissapointed with BF3, so far it seems like I will be skipping BF4 (aka BF3.5), because I am just sick and tired of this recycled modern warfare garbage...
BF2143 though, would be day 1 buy for me, if not preorder, and I never preorder....
As far as I see it, almost every "alien" game since AvP2 been killing the franchise as none of them were good games (although as die hard alien and predator fan, I'd say I enjoy AvP2010 when playing with few of my friends, but even I realize its pretty mediocre game with some serious issues)
By better looking on you mean high res textures and slightly better lighting? Because they have to change something if they making a port?
I don't think there is a single game that have pushed PC limits in past 6 years, heck I have been playing with my pos GTX460 for few years and I could play most games on mid/high settings no problems, which is pretty sad considering how old that card is. They only reason why I had to upgrade is because it just died on me, this is first...
People don't buy as much hardware because consoles been holding back progress on PC games for a while now, so even mediocre PCs can run pretty much most of the game on at least medium to high settings. There is simply no need to upgrade if your current computer works just fine, despite its been few years old.
Well if we go with Crysis 3, then no, because despite good graphics, that game was pretty mediocre.

I only missed the ending after credits, because I was so sick of the boring ass gameplay that I was glad game finally ended. Not saying game or story was bad, just shooting mechanic and last few levels with enemies felt like real drag.

Although I am not sure if team realized that they can tie that sound to the songbird and actually made the songbird sound kinda like a whale, or it was all just a coincidence.
The fact that you can carry only such small amount of ammo is probably the most annoying and frustrating part of the game for me. Its just bad game design choice, I am even okay with carrying just two guns, but making player run out of ammo every 10 minutes or so is just ridiculous, feel extremely unsatisfying.
Not really, its great story, but everything else is somewhat mediocre. The weird shooting and FPS mechanics make me cringe at the game more than few times. Only can carry two guns, with very small amount of ammo, the underused skylines, and only couple decent vigors...
Great story with mediocre gameplay just makes a good game.

Agree with that review, its a good game, but nothing crazy, for how much they bragged about making Catherine alive, they really messed up by making rest of the NPC lifeless, stiff and fake. Story is great, but everything else is just average, and I wouldn't give game score of 9/10 because of story, everything has to work together to make a great experience.
I bet they think they can squeeze just little bit more sales out of the game if they advertise it as an esport title. Somehow I believe EA wouldn't even care how it actually plays as an actual esport game.
BF3 recon is not fun to play, I feel like BC2 recon was much better off, in both fun factor and actual usefulness for the team.
I couldn't stand BF3 campaign more than just couple mission, what a boring generic garbage. I am sure BF4 probably won't be far from that either.

Exactly how I feel. I love variety in BF3, but the mechanics are so fked up sometime. I would play and then see some bs over and over again, and I think to myself, how in the world anyone thought it would be good idea to balance stuff like this, or make this work like that.
Its almost too big for itself, they did what they could with balancing stuff and making things work, but there are so many flaws that people found afterwards that developers just ne...
The only way Battlefield can take CoDs crown is by becoming more like CoD, which it successfully been doing since Bad Company 2.
So its possible for it to take top spot, but its just will become another casual hand holding acradish grind fest, and like I said, its already on the way there at full speed.
Teamspeak, vent or mumble... pick one. Also alternatively for smaller groups of friends, Steam Voice or Skype.
For how utterly crappy the netcode is in Terraria, last thing I would want to see, is dev trying to add functional ingame voice chat.
