Sort of impossible to have that when the target audience is on mobile. But maybe try Fenyx Rising, it's a single-player BotW clone mixed with Assassin's Creed (the newer ones).

While I do agree that the PS5 will keep the Gen4 NVme drivers alive for longer, it is still a really odd article given that so far there wasn't an SSD standard that died yet. We saw reductions in the production of some standards like the M.2 SATA, but even that can still be easily found. The exception is basically enterprise solutions that never truly hit the average user.

Personally, I see RDR2 as the best realized Open world map. One where you could find new things at every corner and be full of secrets to discover. However, both ER and especially BoTW where more open in structure.

The issue goes deeper than that, especially because to my knowledge traditional M.2 drivers are not an open spec either. What is creating this issue for the Xbox drivers is the lack of interest from manufacturers in licensing the solution or the lack of interest in Microsoft to offer it.

Is hard to believe that it's the first case because the margins there are probably not bad. So that lets me believe that is Microsoft themselves that for some reason are not licensing ...

Totally agree that there is a huge lack of competition right now and that only created issues with both supply and prices. At this point, I expect that we would see other manufacturers offering their own version, but short of some Chinese brands, there is nothing in the market other than the Seagate models.

The Ouya is for me one of the biggest wastes of opportunities ever. They had the hype, they had the direction and they could have created a market. But they had cut so many too many corners, the OS was not based on Android, it was Android with a custom launcher and without Google Services. The controllers were utter garbage and even the internal hardware was shoddy like the terrible Wi-fi module that they used. The first OS being an Android re-skin basically made it a Tv Box, but worse becaus...

I mean the Quest 2 sold allegedly 15M and you will still find people that consider it a failure. As in the game market that is just a bit better than the Wii U. So yeah, unless the PSVR2 completely changes the landscape of VR, some will still consider it a failure and given that it's an accessory that needs the PS5 to function I would say that the chances of it doing that are very slim.

I mean if you are a Square Enix fan you are wrong no matter the platform that you choose. /s

What makes this funnier is that the Xbox itself is mentioned in basically all the other questions and if I had to guess, I would bet that most of Capcom's sales on Xbox come from the Xbox Online Store.

It would probably make some sense to buy the game division, given that at this point Sony probably already paid more than what it's worth with the exclusive deals alone. The issue is if SE would be willing to sell only that and if not, would Sony be interested in buying the whole of SE? And would the other internal divisions at Sony be open to incorporating the ones from SE? I have some doubts that would be the case.

So for the immediate future, I imagine Sony will jus...

Some cool titles, my list goes more or less like this:

1. Games that I want to play Gamepass or not:

- Atomic Heart (Looks really cool, the trailers so far have made this one look with a very interesting atmosphere and I do like the theme going on here).
- Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty (Got me by the demo, really cool combat and environments) ;
- Forza Motorsport (Been a fan of Forza Motorsport since the second title, and I'm hoping that t...

It would be nice to have indeed, the issue is just how exactly they would be able to do it. Microsoft wouldn't require developers to make sure their games are compatible with Proton, meanwhile, they themselves wouldn't do that work and Valve definitely wouldn't either.

So the only thing that I could see happening is a streamlined app for the cloud version.

It's honestly very interesting how close to a console the Steam Deck is. The hardware is a mixture of new and already mainstream PC tech with a custom APU. Whereas the software is a custom solution. Where it differs is in the openness of the platform that goes for both the way you can experience content from official PC titles to emulators, as well as how developers can approach the platform.

I should have been more specific. Substantiated rumors of a low-powered Arm SoC that could be used on a portable.

Dunno, we would have probably heard rumors of a new Nvidia Arm SoC if that was the case.

Directly, no. Something to do with Sony copy protection or the way the original games were burned. But you can use a compatible drive to dump your own games and then play them using the emulator.

Honestly, I don't see that really helping them conquer space in Japan. Even Blue Dragon which was the most successful of the bunch barely moved more than 200k units in the region.

What they probably need there is either a ridiculous move like getting exclusive rights to the next Dragon Quest. Or a completely new strategy.

You can actually do both. 8bitdo pro controllers come with a removable battery but can also operate using normal or rechargeable AA batteries. How do they manage this magic? With an incredible invention called a battery cover and a smart battery design.

You implied that Microsoft did a better job with their pro controller. That is basically all that is "wrong" with your comment accordingly to your average N4G user.
