The buzz is, indeed, good -but this game is way overhyped, also.
The two things can happen at once.
I hope this game is as awesome as it looks, but when I see people predicting that it will surpass COD numbers in it's first year....there is no logic to those kinds of predictions.
Anything can happen, but predicting -with certainty- things which are extremely unlikely to happen is pure hype.
The sentiment that the game is over-hyped can't be questioned. I've been saying this for ages.
It's verrrrry hard to live up to this level of hype. They might be putting too much pressure on a promising new property.
This is what happens when Microsoft answers every single question for the past six months by saying "Titanfall."
Yeah, I hate this kind of thing.
For example, I'm offering gold bricks for only $10 (only catch being I have no stock).
Don't offer sales on things if you don't have supplies.
It's just in-store pre-order display boxes. The sort of filler stuff you see at Gamestop that looks like it was printed on an inkjet printer.
Yeah...especially since it's all relative. As far as 1st party goes, Sony has tons relative to it's competiton. Microsoft has been slow in this department, but they've claimed to have made strides, hopefully this will prove true. 1st party games make owning more systems fun and I like owning lots of platforms.
Yeah...first I'll say, I love games period. I am not a fanboy of any sort...
But...this has kinda gone too far.
Xb1 is less powerful and always will be. The reason I can say this is I'm not a developer who has Microsoft glaring at them.
The machine has less GPU power, slower/split ram. Will SDK improve? Yep. Will that allow 1080, possibly....but PS4 kits will improve too. "Catch up" implies PS4 is standing still. It isn...
You might be joking, but that's exactly what I was thinking. These isolated incidents could be pranks, angry roommates, girlfriends/boyfriends and siblings.
Not saying there isn't a potential issue, but honestly hard to say.
Man, COD and BF4 had way too many issues. I think given all the adaptations required for making next gen and cross gen titles, hitting launch led to completely rushed products. It sucks, but it just goes to show that even massive devs have their limits and games should never be rushed.
This game doesn't *lack* multiplayer. It doesn't *include* multiplayer.
Why the hell did it ever become a trend to require tacked on multi? Personally I'm thrilled to see that lame trend disappearing.
Yeah, exactly man. People need to bother reading up on this stuff before trolling.
Personally I think locked 30 with lots of effects is a good decision for a tps.
It's not like Uncharted titles had suffered from 30 fps.
Where 30fps goes bad is "targeting 30 fps" read:10-30 fps.
Locked 30, looks fantastic.
6? Yeah ok...ignore this review. This game is a 9+.
I haven't played Outlast yet, is on the backlog pile filed somewhere under "impulsive 1 am marathon" but I can echo your enthusiasm for Sound Shapes. The game is superb. I've platinumed it and played every piece of DLC, worth every penny and every second. Imo, the often overlooked Beat School is not to be missed (headphones required).
Both are forms of memory, but in practical terms RAM is referred to as memory and hard drive space as storage. To further distinguish the difference, while both are forms of memory, it would be odd to refer to ram as storage, as it is used in most consoles/PCs.
This "analyst" is a con man. The odd part is, he's not in hiding like a regular con. No, he openly contradicts himself, routinely. His track record is abysmal, yet he presents himself as an expert. It really is curious.
Anyway, amongst gamers, where it counts, he has zero credability. Let those foolish enough to listen to him get duped into believing his random, ignorant, guesswork. Anyone that gullible can't be helped.
While I agree with pretty much everything you said, the rumours are coming from generally accurate sources.
Since the build up to this gen, so much has come from these sources -much of it denied by official sources and then later confirmed.
The difference here being that Respawn seems to address the response to their denials directly. This would put them in a bad position if they were proven to have misled people.
Though, I think you're ...
Hrm... Not exactly. Thief's previews are so tepid I've cancelled my preorder and will bargain bin it. Rayman is a port. Ground zeros is a preview more than a game. Garden warfare is largely unproven. Lego games are Lego games...so that mainly leaves Titanfall.
Titanfall has devs with a good pedigree and it seems cool as hell in many ways. Though, I wonder about the lack of singleplayer. How it will affect sales. How it will affect the game's overall rep as people ...
People really have to calm down about Titanfall. I know it's demo is being well received and I personally find that it does look awesome, but for some bizarre reason people are putting all of the xb1's eggs in that one basket. IGN's Ryan McCaffrey recently predicted on Podcast Unlocked that Titanfall would replace COD as the most popular fps multiplayer game. While COD popularity has seen better days, the comparison is similar to a new hot drink launching and people being like &qu...

Seems to be missing Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright.
LOVED this game on Vita, was only slightly tarnished by audio glitches during the last 20 mins.
Hopefully they'll have it running smoothly for the port.
