The amount of Titanfall articles is disproportionate, all things considered. The game looks cool, but it's basically xb1's hail mary pass at this point. They need to promote other things too.
It would be insanely controversial and the gaming forums would explode. Not that Gears has the same level of hype it once had, but mainly because of the "awww SNAP!" kinda nature of the story. That said, after a horrible start for xb1, Gears moving exclusively to PS4 could be a tipping point because of the effect on base shift with casuals. It would almost be viewed as "permission" to switch in a strange way for some.
Yeah agree, the lineup is solid. Anyone complaining about launch has no sense of console history. This is actually one of the best launches of all time. Will things get better within the year? Yeah of course. People seem to think games appear out of thin air.

Well said, and I agree with the principles of what you said, the only problem is that console wars and consumer awareness are getting tangled this time around. Maybe it's because Kinect is somehow integrated in such a way that it can't be "undone" so there is basically no such thing as using it's memory/gpu but rather you'd end up sharing it and competing for resources .

This criticism is popping up a lot in forums, yet none of the gameplay footage from Shadow Fall has been remotely stuttery. Same goes for BF4 SP, actually. Seems to me these devs make these choices because the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. Also, many variable fr games have managed smooth performance in the past. God of War games stand out.

The point is these resolutions are for the same levels of graphical features. Worse for your argument is PS4 often has MORE graphicsl features. People like you keep imagining that 720 is some design choice...it's not, it's a limitation.
The problem is with Titanfall, is that if it's at all as good as people think it will be(mostly guesses) then it's infinitely better sequels will be available on all platforms. In fact, even ms "locked down" exclusives have turned up elsewhere eventually as with Mass effect. Bottom line, if one game is enough for you, you are the exception. People are viewing this wrong. Resolutions creep DOWN over a console's life cycle. The longer this goes on, the worse shape xb1 will be in. They are a stone's throw from performing in last gen resolutions. PS4 can half their pixel output and still be comfortably, although disappointingly, HD at around 720. You can't sell a game at half of 720, so MS' games will start to lose features left, right, and center as multiplats get more and more demanding...as they ALWAYS do. That is...
I have a strong feeling that Titanfall will be majorly delayed and they know it. Only reason we're playing the pretend-game is so they can keep heaping on the little news releases about it for the next few weeks to encourage people to keep faith in xb1's library. Not trolling when I say I'm not too sure about this game yet in general, actually. Have to see more.
Get a clue. If you think that an image with 125% more pixel data isn't going to look better when comparing the same software then you are possibly actually arguing against the concept of hd tv. Do you really need to defend this mess of a console to a point where you will allow yourself to believe that up is down and black is white? Buy the Xb1, have a great time with it, it'll certainly offer advantages over current gen which kept us all happy....but don't give away your dignity. ...
