I just played the downloaded demo the other day and was highly impressed. If the game was console only then I might be concerned with the lack of tracks and modes (although thats being fixed with updates)however with the online racing ability of Motorstorm I can be sure of alot of fun racing against other players.
The lack of split screen does not really bother me. I always thought the ultimate set up would be to have a seperate full screen for each player and with the onlin...
This may very well end up replacing my PC's.
Man you guys crack me up.
How much crap did Sony take over having to few units for launch in Japan and the U.S.? So now for the PAL region release they are ensuring they have enough units available to meet demand and its spun as no one is interested and their is no demand?
The PS3 is going to set sales records when it releases in the PAL territories, how do you say that means there is no demand? Obviously there is demand if they sell more in one day then any...
Where have you been? Every time I come to this site all I hear in the comment section is the PS3 is to expensive so it won't sell. The PS3 has no games so it won't sell. The PS3 has worse graphics then the Xbox 360 so it won't sell. The PSN is crap compared to XBL so it won't sell. Blu-Ray is not needed for next-gen gaming so it won't sell. The controller lacks rumble so it won't sell. Sony over promises and underdelivers so it won't sell. PS3 are on shelves everywhere so that's proof...
Do people say the PS3 is selling poorly? It is outselling the PS1 and PS2 for the same time period. Its out selling the XBox 360 in America when compared to its launch as well. So again why is it selling poorly?

In other words game developers get together and show off tech demo's of what they have been working on for software/middleware that developers can take advantage of in creating games. Its not E3 or TGS where its designed to showcase the actual games developers are working on.
Sony is reaching out to people by offering them 3 different products. Want a masses console with a great library of games and is very afforadable? Then buy a PS2. Want a portable gaming system? Then buy a PSP. Want a console that allows you to maximize the potential of your HDTV? Then buy a PS3. Face it if you can afford to buy a HDTV you can afford to buy a PS3. Heck I payed more for my HD cable box that doubles as a PVR then I will for the PS3.
Their TV market already declined a bit because of Samsungs/Philips/Panasonics succes... Watch out Sony, just watch out
Really? Seems to me I read recently that Sony took over top spot for LCD TV sales. They took away the lead from Samsung.

This article is simply one persons opinion. It offers no credible sources for money being mad...
Blogger giving us his opinion. (yawn)
Sorry but I could careless what this guy has to say as he has no more credibility then anyone who posts on this site.
Oh and here is a news flash for you. Every new console risks losing so what? Thanks for stating the obvious.
How long have we been listening to the 360 crowd saying the PS3 is to expensive, poor game library compared to the 360 and not only that the 360 has the better looking cross platform games. They tell us there is no reason to buy the PS3. They tell us no one is buying the PS3. they tell us the PS3 has lost the war.
Funny that inspite of all this and the fact the console has had supply problems (don't start with yeah every retailer in the US had stock piles of PS3 for the ent...
Looks like FirstknighT and the Xbox 360 camp are resorting to no name blogs full of BS specualtion with no validity to try and cast a cloud over the PS3 launch in Europe. Especially with a credible report for how in demand the PS3 is in Europe from gameindustry.biz.

His comments were echoed by Gerry Berkley, head of games at Woolworths, who told GamesIndustry....
Sad that this even made the news
Even more sad is that this is now the top news story for the PS3 section.
I like alot about the new site, but seems how articles are approved /not approved needs some work.
You mean like the PS2 is now compared to computers today? Funny and yet its still selling way beyond everyones expectations.
I for one appreciate a company that continues to support its older system while coming out with a new one instead of abandoning the old one like some companies do. This is somethign Sony should be applauded for instead of being complained about.
To suggest that if MS had not made content available to download via the internet that Sony would not have is rather short sighted. We live in the digital age and the internet and downloading content is a big part of that. As you said Sony has alot of assets they can put in place to allow people to download. Not only that but they are trying to make it attractive for others companies to allow them to have thier products downloaded as well.
I think sony has always had this vi...
to twist this. There has only ever been one winning format for movies. VHS then DVD and it will be either Blu-Ray or HD-DVD as the next. There is only one format that consumers will ultimately support. Since the market has always supported more then one brand of game console you can't declare a winner using the same logic because its a completely different situation.
While it might seem silly for Sony to declare their format the winner didn't Toshiba do the same thing a fe...
I have always thought that Blu-Ray would win, was because of the support it has behind it. The number of studios putting out movies on Blu-Ray versus HD-DVD means that ultimately there will be more movies that come out on the Blu-Ray format. Once consumers see this in stores and movie rental places they will go with the format that offers them the most choices of movie titles. Its why VHS won over Betamax. Blu-Ray releasing 25 movies to HD-DVD's 11 is just the beginning of this trend.
The guy asked a lot of good questions and I liked the answers. To you Xbox 360 fans who say Sony should have had all this stuff already included well why did MS not have all this included? Xbox live was in place along time before the 360 was introduced so they had a much larger head start on their online functionality then Sony did and yet they launched without background downloading so I am not sure why you think Sony would be in a position right from launch. I think you also forgot that ...
If Sony wants to rival Xbox Live they need to make sure as many games as possible have online play. I like that its free and open compared to XBL but they really need to make more of an effort if they ever plan to rival MS. If there is one aspect that Sony needs to put more effort into when it comes to the PS3 I would say this is it.
You state that Nintendo is targeting gamers and non gamers and the PS3 is olny targeting gamers. What about the person that buys the PS3 as a Blu-Ray player? What if after buying it as a Blu-Ray player they decided to try a game that they saw advertised that looked interesting to them?
How about the gamer who bought the PS3 for a gaming system but decides to buy a Blu-Ray movie to try it out?
As far as price point did you forget that Sony has a cheaper game con...
That the people bashing the game (before they have even played it) are doing so based on graphics. While I think graphics add to the over all experience its by no means the only aspect the game should be judged on. The game to me looks like it could be alot of fun but before I say the game is crap or awesome I will wait unti I have actually played it rather then judge it based on video footage.
I see alot of fighting happen on this site over people opinions about games that...
