It is great news for PS4. It is designed to play great looking games first and foremost.
This is not bad news for XB1. Both consoles are absolute monsters compared to their predecessors. Both are way above spec I could of dreamed they would be at the start of this year so kudos to both.

The other games are not as they are made for 360 & PS3 as well and graphics made better when ported for next gen.
I want to see what games made only for next gen, with next gen Ram and mulit-core CPU look like. Imagine an open world game or awesome levels that can be created.

I guess Killzone & Infamous will be better optimised for next gen and technically better.
If they released proper next gen multi platform games and then ported to 360 & PS3 it would be ideal.

Great controller. Never heard this kind of buzz about a controller before. Guess they nailed it.
And Infamous Second Son looks like the perfect next gen game. Assassins Creed 4 & Watch Dogs look cool but I am more excited about a game made only for next gen. Ported games with better graphics are fine but next gen is all about using the 5+GB Ram consoles will have.

This is amazing news for customers like me. It means they will offer a 200 Mbps service with PS4/Vita offers thrown in.
And they will reserve part of the 200 Mbps just for gaming. At the moment I gotta share my 100 Mbps with Tablets, smartphones, PC, Laptops and 360, PS3 and Vita.
I pay for the service I want dedicated bandwidth just for me!

Did Microsoft do a conference?
No. So it was easy for Sony. The 360 does not really have any killer games coming out or just released but PS3 does. And Sony have the PS Vita which is amazing - do not comment unless you try one first.
So PS3/Vita/PS4 is a great killer line up. They are the top gaming company pound for pound by a mile!
Just as long as it is developed to make the most of Vita's touch screen capabilities and not just a weak port.

At least we get a 3 hour full conference later. Shame MS not that fussed today. Gives the wrong message. The worst aspects were dodgy win 8 UI and no release date.

It looks awful. I have Win 8.1 preview as well as win 7. It only really works on touch screen tech.
I am looking forward to using the PS4 interface but it will also take time to get used to. But I hope MS dith this touchscreen UI.
I would say it is and I do not think Microsoft would disagree.
But both consoles are way beyond the 360 and PS3. One of the consoles has to be the most powerful. Not a big deal if you plan on getting XB1 because it will handle all games and still provide instant access to TV and the many apps.
There are no losers here. We all get great multi-platform games and we can choose what exclusives we want to go with. Happy Days!
