Fine. "Gamer" isn't quite the clearly defined term that it should be, but if when you tell people (who frequently play video games) that you're a gamer, they assume you partake in more than something like freaking angry birds or monopoly. It's one of those terms that's widely accepted and agreed upon by the gaming community (and the majority of the non gaming community) as being someone who plays different and new video games on a regular basis.

"How does playing those video games makes one less apply to the title of a gamer?"
In the same way that playing basketball with your friends doesn't make you an athlete.
Well said. It's nice to see some intelligent, level headed comments like yours instead of the usual "anyone who's ever pirated anything should be raped and killed because they're all the scum of the earth and are no better than thieves" dumbass comments that tend to be common among this site that also surprisingly seem to get high amounts of agrees.
Lol @ Uncharted 3 being a stealth game.
"It’s the idea that games will not only “run”, they will also be “enhanced”, thanks to the new hardware capabilities. Graphics, for example, could be enhanced. There are programmatic ways to improve textures, resolution or frame-rate on old games"
If that's true, I hope Sony does it as well. Just imagine Killzone 2/3, Uncharted 2/3, etc. running at a crisp 1080p with 60fps.
The price for the handheld itself is fine, but they should at least do a "buy the vita within the first month of launch, get a free 8-16gb memory card for free". If they had something like that, I might have bought it at launch.
I'll probably just wait for some more games to come out for it though, nothing really interests me as of now. I'm really excited to see what that Bioshock Vita game is though. Hopefully we'll see some gameplay soon or get some...
I just find it annoying when other people tell me how to play my own damned game. I'm not playing the objective based modes, I'm only playing team deathmatch, which the objective is to kill the other team as much as possible, and I do exactly that. I'm not going to follow "jackass #1" around the map just because he tells me to and thinks that it will make the team do better (that doesn't work very often in most first person shooters).
I think the r...
"COD4 SP was fantastic."
Not really. Don't get me wrong, it was all right, but it wasn't "fantastic".
"all had good to great SP campaigns." I don't know about Call of Duty 1, but I played Call Of Duty 2's single player, and while it was fun, it was outshined by the multiplayer. CoD2 was my first ever multiplayer game to play, and it was just so addictive and fun, I put way more time into that then the single pl...
"but it was always so satisfying when you finally DID beat that annoying boss or complete that annoying level"
Not for me. For me, it just feels like a huge waste of my time.
"Because HHG isn't a troll."
Yeah, and water isn't wet.
No, they're getting less frustrating. For most people, getting killed over and over again, having to repeat the same thing over and over again just because the developers thought it would be a good idea to give the AI pinpoint accuracy at the range of a mile away and instant reaction times isn't exactly their idea of "fun".
For those that do want that masochistic experience, there's a little thing called "difficulty modes", a little feature wh...
Knee armor
No it's not, period...
@GodHandDee
Look elsewhere for that. CoD is all about the multiplayer, and that's all anyone wants from it (the majority of people anyways).
I'm just hoping they can stop being sh*t and at least make a game as good as CoD4, because it seems with each iteration, the series has gone down hill.
Unbalanced? Are you freaking kidding me? It is BY FAR the most balanced Call of Duty game since CoD4. It had a few unbalanced things at launch (ak74u), but they were patched.
"its cool and popular in the gaming community to hate on COD these days because of how mainstream it has become"
No no no, you misunderstand. It's cool and popular in the gaming community to hate on Call of Duty because of how SH!T it's become.
There are MANY reasons people hate Call of Duty, but unfortunately, being popular and mainstream aren't among those reasons.
Total megaton
I initially wanted multiplayer, though only in the form of squad co-op (2 friends taking control of 2 of my squad mates instead of some dumb and crappy AI), but hearing that it's separate from the campaign is kind of disappointing and kind of defeats the purpose of having multiplayer in Mass Effect at all.
Hopefully the game doesn't suffer for it though.
I'd like it if both options were 100% available. They both have their benefits, well at least physical media does all the time, when digital only has it some of the time.
The benefit of digital games SHOULD be that it's significantly cheaper, but looking around at full retail games on the PSN/360 store, that's not the case. The benefit of physical media is the feeling of ownership, that no one can take the game away from you (although that's becoming less tr...
"and i don't agree with the meaning people create under their arrogance (If you don't play my type of game, you're not a gamer) it just gets to me."
It has nothing to do with arrogance. When the gaming community say "gamer" they mean someone who actually plays games on a regular basis, and who play ALL types of games, not just shovelware sh*t.
And sorry, but you're being kind of an idiot when you say "(If you don...
