@Soldier

What he meant, is that the difficulty mode in the challenge mode of the demo isn't anywhere near as hard as the full retail version. And that's a good thing, because the AI in the demo is BS. Enemies only seem to go after the player and completely ignore each other, and are also a 100% accurate and always seem to have like 20 missiles at their disposal.

If you found that challenge mode too easy (if you happen to be a freak), then that mode ...

Try nuke mode like 3 or 4 times. Jaffe said (and I can attest to this personally) that it's likely a problem with deathmatch mode, so give nuke mode a few tries (it probably wont work on the very first try though).

And Jaffe said today on twitter that the difficulty of the normal mode in the demo is NOWHERE near as bad as it is in the full game (he actually did say NOWHERE like that).

A little bit yeah. I bought NFS:Hot Pursuit because I thought it would be the last decent deal.

3 people. I LOVE the new art style of The Darkness 2.

"lmao it was developed with pad support in mind"

Hmm, well I guess they didn't do a very good job of it.

"maybe you just cant handle witcher 2 difficulty. Did you press A? did awesome happen?"

I have it on the easiest difficulty, and I haven't died once. But of course, I must suck at it if I don't like it. That's the only logical conclusion. It couldn't be that the gamepad support is mediocre, no, I ...

@LettingGo

I've played the first game (it was my second ever game to play on ps3) and quite enjoyed it.

-I love the art style. I can kind of understand where you're coming from about not taking it seriously, but for me, since it's so incredibly violent and gory, it balances out the comic book feel to make it something to be taken seriously.

-The lip syncing is better than the first Darkness game (not by much, but it is better). ...

", they complained about the weapon wheel slowing down the pace of the game"

Funny how you criticize him by claiming he loves to rewrite history when I don't seem to recall that complaint at all. Even if it was a complaint, is must not have been a popular one.

I don't understand why they couldn't have just said "there are currently no plans for a future resistance title" or "we're taking a break from the franchise".

I don't remember for sure, but I think at the end when you blow up the tower in Resistance 3, that's not the end to the chimera threat, so the story isn't done.

It's obvious they just don't want to make it anymore because the games don't sell too w...

It just feels clunky and sluggish, and the gamepad support just feels tacked on and not at all optimized for a controller.

It just doesn't have quite as good gamepad support as a lot of other games I've played.

Anyways, back to my original question: could you link me the source?

5251d ago 0 agree2 disagreeView comment

"redesigned controls"

Source please. I bought The Witcher 2 a while ago, but since I don't like kb/m for gaming and since the gamepad support for the witcher 2 currently kind of sucks, I haven't played it very much.

Updated and improved controls would help to get me back into the game.

Gonna wait for a price drop or sale as well. February 7th is reserved for The Darkness 2, and then Twisted Metal comes out a week after that.

Also, I've bought the Sly Collection, The God of War Collection and The ICO Collection, Beyond Good and Evil HD, Resident Evil 4 HD, gameshared Prince of Persia sands of time, and I haven't fully finished a single game on any of them, so I think buying a collection of an old game at full price that I was interested in a while b...

Okay then let me ask again without following it up with anything else so I don't confuse you further: Do you think that developers should force players to deal with an unchangeable, very hard difficulty without giving people the option to make it easier?

@Blaine

Look, if you're too lazy to read or reply to my comment, then just say so, but don't use the lazy cop out excuse of "I'm not going to repeat myself because you're too stupid to argue with".

Anyways, the way you talked about Dark Souls like more developers should do what they are doing. You kind of imply that if more devs shoved harder difficulties down everyones throats without an optional easy mode, then gaming would be so ...

Agreed. Most creativity and innovation comes from the things that are unrealistic. With everyone trying to make their games as realistic as possible, it's no wonder the industry is currently lacking in innovation and fresh experiences.

Are you saying they should make 1999 mode the default mode without any option to change it, just so you can brag to your friends? I would hope not.

Reading about the details of 1999 mode, it looks as if you were to go straight into 1999 mode without having first played the game, you have to pick a certain skill set, and become great with specific class. Of course not all classes are equal when it comes to games, some could suck and make the game nearly impossible (challengi...

@Ramses

Yeah, I agree. Personally, I'm getting Uncharted fatigue. It's not so much the gameplay that I'm tired of, it's just I don't really like the characters all that much. They just seem generic and annoying.

The two characters in The Last of Us look like they might actually have real depth to them. I'm glad Naughty Dog is moving towards a more serious and darker story theme.

I like Warhawk better.

Hmm, I thought it looked pretty good. Then again, the only Resident Evil games I've played are 4 and 5, which are pretty much just action games, and RE fans care more about the horror aspect of the series.

I suppose this is bad news for a Resident Evil fan, but for me, if the game is anything liked 4 or 5, then I will thoroughly enjoy it, and apparently it has co-op, which I had a blast playing with my friends (one of my top 5 favorite co-op games).
