I'd rather not play either of those games terrible and unbalanced multiplayer modes. They both suck.
Cod5 didn't have "terrible" multiplayer. It was basically just cod4 with a ww2 skin. There was ONE unbalanced gun in world at war, but it wasn't game ruining.
It's more like Modern Warfare 2 and up have had terrible multiplayer, but the worst you can say about world at war was that it was average/nothing special.

Yeah it looks pretty awesome, but if I had to make one criticism, it's that the lettering should be chrome like it's always been, instead of black lettering.
@THILLREBORN
Those things you mention are hardly "big news".
HipHopGamer was banned because he was a TERRIBLE journalist. He constantly posted misleading and sensationalized articles and headlines for the mere purpose of attracting attention, and even sometimes just outright lied. He may have broke a few stories, but the number of misleading/sensationalist articles he posted FAR outweighed the 5% of his stories that were actually relevant.
I think bwazy was referring more to the competitive multiplayer aspect of first person shooters.
@hellvaguy
I've watched videos on it, but some videos use different methods of applying thermal paste. I can't really be sure which one I should take seriously either, because although their ps3s worked right after, I have no knowledge of how long they lasted afterward.
I also read up a bit on thermal paste for cpus, and the fact that you have to do a power cycle every now and then for the thermal paste to even out or something.

Family Guy funny? No. Maybe the first two or three seasons (the ones before it got cancelled), but everything that has come after it's cancellation is just terrible.
The "arrow to the knee" joke (as sh*tty as it is) is much funnier than any current family guy episode.
Mine started showing symptoms of dying, so I just boxed it up and bought a Slim. It's a shame too, because the 60gb is better than the slim in almost every way (backwards compatibility, 4 usb ports as opposed to slims 2, memory card slot readers that I backed up my game saves on, and an all around sleeker, sexier, more premium look than the slim, because lets be honest, the slim just kind of looks like a cheap, barebones ps3).
I hope one day to be able to confidently re...
Yeah, you have a good point. I thought since in Red Dead you could go from America to Mexico, a situation like that might also be possible in other games, but they're probably not going to do it in The Last of Us.
It's pretty disappointing for me personally, as I'm getting quite bored of linear single player games like Uncharted, linear FPS campaigns and the like.
Oh well, there's plenty of other great open world games to look forward to.
The only really important thing I want to know is whether it's open world or not.
Hopefully it is, but the "travel across the united states" thing makes it sound like it's just going to be another linear game like Uncharted. Though it could be like Red Dead where the traveling takes place later on after a certain point in the story and then the next area is unlocked.
@h3llrais3r
And you're forgetting that Platinum games is developing this one. Remember Bayonetta on ps3? Yeah.
Vanquish PS3 was up to par with its 360 counterpart though, so there shouldn't be any differences this time around, but if I were to bet on which one would be the superior version, I'd have to say the 360 version, if one ends up being superior at all.
Glad they aren't adding multiplayer to this. Naughty Dog haven't quite got the hang of creating a great and well balanced multiplayer mode just quite yet.
They should just stick with what they're good at, singleplayer.
"how should we judge games?"
How much they improved on their predecessors, how they fixed the issues fans complained about, how much they fixed the technical aspects of their game (glitches, lag problems).
Modern Warfare 3 did almost none of those things, so no, it doesn't deserve the award. You know why people like it? Because it's the only thing they know. To them, it's the only thing that's out there, because these millions of ...
No. It's good, but it's not the best.
I hope it's open world. No offense to Uncharted, but I'm personally getting tired of the whole linear game style.
Plus, the way this trailer makes the game look, it would be an absolute crime to make this game linear
The Bioshock trailer was the most exciting part of the VGAs for me. Every "announcement" was disappointing for me. The Last of Us looked all right, but I was expecting something else. I'm never getting excited from an announcement from Geoffe Keighly (or however you spell that) again.
"Combat feels off"
Funny you should mention that.
In Naughty Dog offices: Okay guys, lets take our perfect control scheme that everybody loved and just completely change it even though nobody asked us to. Then later on down the line, we can make up for it by fixing it for the most part, even if it's still not as good as Uncharted 2's controls.
Skyrim may be a buggy and may even be broken for SOME gamers, but it takes a lon...
Skyrim is working fine for me (on a 12mb save file nonetheless) and it is for many many other people as well. Just because the game is broken for one person, doesn't mean it's broken for another.
Skyrim definitely deserves goty.
@zeroreloaded
How old are you kid? 12? 13? I don't think you realize this now, but you're trying WAY too hard to make people think you're some sort of badass.
The mere fact that you're telling other people to "lose their femininity" says that you're scared of showing any emotion that isn't "manly". Kid, that makes you more cowardly and effeminate than even the biggest of pussies.
